I don't understand why pac fans complain about this, Manny did the same to Larios. As for coming in overweight, Marquez was aware of it before the fight and still wanted the fight to proceed because he was looking for the best challenge out there after pac ducked him.

He moved it from 30 to 24 days after video surfaced of him taking a blood test 24 days before the Hatton fight.

First off, you have to realise that WW is a weightclass that spans from 141 to 147, 147 being the limit.

Pac wanted to fight for the WW title, and Cotto wanted to fight for the payday and recognition.

If Cotto wanted to, he could have weighed in at 147, paid his monetary penalty, and defended his title at the full 147 weight limit. He didn't because he wanted to fight for the bigger payday and recognition. They both had something to gain. They both agreed to a compromise which is FAIR.

Its not like the commission forced Cotto to come in at 145 or he would be stripped of his title. It was a monetary clause. Like Manny saying to Cotto : "You can weigh in at 147 if you want but then I deserve an even bigger share of the purse split because you would have a huge advantage"

 

At the beginning of the negotations, before the testing issue was put out by PBF, Pac wasn't gonna be blood tested at all.

Floyd went from 0 days to 14 days.

So Pac went from no blood testing at all which is the regular testing program, to 30 days, to 24 days.

 

The blood testing was in negotiations from day 1.

And unlimited urine testing means nothing if the NSAC doesn't test for EPO,HGh etc

you cannot always bash on pac by trying to dickride floyd. floyd and GBP had conspired to pull a fast one on jmm. do you think jmm really wants to fight floyd when he came in over the agreed catchweight? he was even pointing to ths scale after the weigh-in. oscar just talked jmm out of it while floyd paying him a compensation. GBP had prostituted jmm and jmm could not do anything.

pac-larios is a whole different thing. pac was just almost 3 years removed from fighting at 122 back then while floyd has been 6 years removed already from fighting at 135. and to compare, jmm was already having a hard time with bigger lightweight fighters back then while larios is having some problems maintaining 122 back then. pac and larios are even contemporaries at jr featherweight. floyd and jmm are not even in the same class at any one point of their career.

 

You are incorrect. AFTER Cotto had already agreed to the catch weight fight, under the belief that his title would not be on the line, the WBO installed Pac as the mandatory challenger for the title and declared that the title could and would be on the line for the catchweight fight. As such, if Cotto came in over weight he could be stripped of his title. Likewise, if he backed out of the catchweight agreement he could also be stripped of his title. The WBO ****ed Cotto backwards and sideways, though Cotto should have expected to get screwed because Pac had the leverage.

 

I just don't see how that's fair to Cotto. But then again boxing is anything but fair.

 

pacs name gets dragged through the mud from those ****in homo mayweathers and then they think he is going to go along with there blood testing demands **** the mayweathers.he did the right thing.floyd needs manny. manny doesn't need floyd and who gives a **** what was said 24 days 5 days 14 days bottom line manny said go **** yourself
