That high tight guard worked wonders for cotto, but there were times where cotto just clean moved out of the way. It was telegraphed.

Yes. It wasn't easy, but he did. I still think he looks more vulnerable than before.

mayweather is still mayweather. he's fast and slick. cotto was better in this fight than he was in the margarito or pac fights. pedro diaz is a much better trainer than evangilista cotto and his former strength and conditioning coach. don't be fooled by cotto's losses to margarito or pac. neither of those fights were on the level. this one was. cotto simply has a style and understanding of boxing that floyd has not faced in his whole career. if and when pac fights floyd....u all will get to see how amazing floyd is and how normal pac is....but honestly i don't believe that fight is going to happen because bradley is going to beat the breaks off of pac.

He still have his legs, as he did use them. People dont understand how much he stayed on the ropes throughout his career. However, some rounds he looked slower on his legs, while others he looked like he used to. Honestly, he looked much better in this fight than the Ortiz fight. His legs are fine. However, I am not sure if it was the weight... or gloves... but his punches did look slower. Anyone can see this. At the end of the 9th Cotto looked like Sweatpea, with his upper body movement and made Mayweather miss all his shots. Now this could just be that Cotto is simply a great fighter, Mayweather had trouble landing against Oscar too, you know.

Try that stance and look for its vulnerabilities and wyou will understand why a good body puncher will have success.

The head is so protected plus Gay swings his trunk backwards then spring it forward to counter. Which makes the head really hard to hit. However, what remains stationary is the body which is guarded by the left arm.

A high volume body puncher can penetrate that. Infact,a style that plants body punch then clinch will probably more successful. The clinch eliminates the counter right.

You *******s forgot Floyd could fight on the inside. Cotto had a good jab, and a good round 8. Two other rounds were close. That's it. Floyd is 35, fought at jmw, and used 10 oz gloves, and he still looked good.

Don't know what some of you saw, but Cotto came to fight. Yeah, Pacquiao busted Cotto up at 145 with 8 oz gloves. What did Pacquiao do to Marquez last fight? People think Pacquiao lost his last fight.

When and if Pacquiao and Floyd fight, forget about how both looked in their last fights. Cotto found out that Floyd was stronger than him, and Pacquiao will find that out too.

Cotto actually found out that Pac punches harder than him.

Cotto was well prepared thanks to his trainer. Floyd s main punches have always been a lead left hook and a lead straight right and you could tell Cotto was well prepared for them because they hardly got through and when they did they were partially blocked....

In the end Floyd did what he always does and adapted by using that looping right hook and left uppercut and had Cotto on ***** street by the end of the fight.

He lost 2/3 rounds and I believe it was a hard fight for Floyd and a test but he came through very very well as stylisticly Cotto should have actually given him an even harder fight!

With 8 oz gloves and fighting Cotto 145 lbs, I'd hope so.

no. with brittle hands and sloppy punching. Those rights were slapping. The slide of the gloves was the one hitting, like a girlie punch.
