Yeah if you re-watch it and score the fight I guarantee you would have Tommy ahead after 12 rounds, as did all three judges.

Sure, but Leaonard was also pacing himself for 15 instead of 12. Who knows what he might have done differently if he'd known he was going to be fighting 12 rounds instead of 15?

I agree with both men, Leonard & Hearns were too big for Mayweather, Floyd would do well to lose on points vs these 2 phenomenal 147 lb legends.

Ps. I liked SRLs comment `I dont think anyone could beat Tommy Hearns... except me`

    Typical Leonard.

True, you had slower buildups then.

True but even in pacing himself He needed that KO to win if that fight goes the distance he looses.. He caught Tommy when Tommy got tired during in the 14th rd. Those middle rounds 6-12 Tommy was popping that jab and keeping Ray at bay. I was a HUGE sugar ray fan at the time and I gotta admit I was sure he was about to get his first loss. if Tommy doesn't get tired Ray losses.

On that note, do you think we should go back to 15 rounds, or keep it how it is?

I like 15 rounders for championship fights since it's one way to signify that you're really stepping up to the big time when you fight for a belt. I hate hearing announcers refer to rounds 10 - 12 as the championship rounds.

I agree, they would be too big for Floyd. Floyd is a great boxer in his own right, but they too were great. And they had size and power going for them.

I don't think Hearns could ever be knocked out by Floyd, even with his questionable chin. Against Leonard, Hearns was just dead tired. Only heart kept him in it. And at 160 or above... well, he went down against punchers with a LOT more pop than Floyd.

Floyd's best weight isn't WW anyway. At WW, the one boxer today who I think would give Hearns and Leonard a very hard fight would be PW. Especially to Hearns. PW has that power, he could knock out Hearns.

Williams is just way too open.
Hearns would be bouncing his Right hand off of Williams head from the first round.

I see both Leonard and Hearns stopping Mayweather at Welterweight.

Size isn't the only factor for that happening, both Ray and Hearns possessed tremendous hand-speed and threw in combination. Leonard was a very good puncher at 147lbs, and that was never more evident than when practically everything he was landing was shaking Hearns up.

The relentless pressure of Williams, who has a good solid chin, may lead this fight into another war. And in a war, I see Williams winning.

and that's why I think he loses.
Sure, he'll be throwing alotta of punches,
But Hearns will landing the more accurate, quicker, and harder shots.
