The fight should have been at 154, but even then that doesn't matter. Mayweather will have his way with Canelo.

Though I think Canelo is very skilled at what he does, his style and physical attributes are all wrong for a Mayweather upset. Canelo is a slightly aggressive counter-puncher. He isn't nearly as fast as Mayweather, he won't be able to time Mayweather, he has shorter height and reach. On defense, he can be slick, but if he takes this route, he will get reduced to just head movement, and Mayweather is fast enought that Canelo will get clipped time to time while he throws nothing back. He has no physical attributes other than size in his advantage for a counter-puncher style. He also throws a very limited amount of punches.

The only guys I can see beating Mayweather will either have stalking and inside skills, or must be long and fast enough to be able to try and outbox him. The guys who have done best against Floyd have probably been Castillo and Judah, which is why I bring this up.

If people follow my post history, they probably know I've critiqued Mayweather plenty, but I applaud both fighters for making this happen.

Well done on being the 1st one to make a thread on this fight.

I think with your foresight you will single bring back ESB to where it was 5 weeks ago

Void lost to Castillo and Oscar, but his judges can't score against him, although it was a split decision.

I had Mosley winning too (although Floyd won the 2nd round)

I scored Mayweather Guerrero a draw.

Alright, I agree with the Castillo fight, but what do you think about this fight? I think the only guys that were skilled enough to beat Floyd were back at 130. The guys at 147/154 aren't skilled enough, but he avoided murder row with regards to big aggressive punchers.

Dismantle is waaaaay to strong, maybe win a fencing match is more like it...
(IF he don't get KTFO trying)

It will matter because Canelo will be drained and not hydrated. It won't be a Canelo who's at his best, if Floyd win Canelo would still be undefeated.

Void did not have a problem with Cotto fighting at 154. If Void was so confident, he would fight Alvarez at 154. Void refused to fight Martinez at 150! Void still refuses to fight Pac! Void could not knock out or hurt a featherweight in his last fight. Void could not even knock out the girl he beat up! Void will run like Hell, track & field. Void knows his judges can't score against him, he owns Vegas and Showtime has too much money invested in him.

Even if Catch beats Canelo at 152, it won't matter. It will be meaningless. Even if Catch beats Canelo, Catch would still consider Canelo an undefeated fighter. Cuz Canelo wouldn't have been at his best.

I doubt it , Canelo is too good to be totally outclassed, though he could use more experience at the top level. Floyd didn't come close to dismantling Cotto, in fact he was in a really tough fight. Canelo has the tools to beat him, but we'll have to see how he performs and what gameplan he brings. If anything the lack of experience at the top level would probably be his downfall.

Canelo will be coming in near 170 lbs for the people that feel that mayweather is starving him and that he should have agreed to fight at 154. Some of you knuckleheads don't realize that mayweather will probably in the ring at 150 whikle canelo rehydrates back to 170. Give me a break m. ****ers

So, what you're sayin is...Catch is just a widdle guy and Canelo is too big for Catch? If Floyd can't handle Canelo at 154, why don't he just say so and stop bitchin about a catch weight? If Canelo is too big, then maybe Catch should bulk up to 152 or 153 himself and narrow the gap after rehydration. That's what a real man does instead of demandin a catch weight like 152. Catchweather wouldn't fight Canelo unless it was at a ***** weight.

Ofcourse it will matter if its between 154 and 152. I'm going with Void by murder since its at 152 . Had it been at 154 Canelo would have KO Floyd .

the biggest deficiency I see in Canelo is the leg play, there is none. Canelo has slow plodding footwork and no speed or lightness of foot, surely no rythym or fleetness of foot.

like a tank on a turret if its launched and you happen to be in the killzone you are ****ed. However if you see it and run right or left by the time it sets up and adjusts to fire it cant get you.
