Lucas is a rising star. He is now part of the spotlight. Floyd will never fight him, to much risk... never fight Sergio either. Floyd will fight the Ghost, which I believe is a solid defense, but after that it will be a series of 'who is the most vulnerable'/low risk encounters so that I can pad my record to 50-0:deal

I think Void will fight Christy Martin in on of those fights and USTV will show it! Noticed that Void refuses to fight Sergio Martinez.

If he fights till 40 he will lose. Unless he matches even more carefully, in which case he will be less desirably attraction on PPV.

Deal says "up to". 6 seems like a lot but it's not impossible. I'd say 4 tops.

Lucas is hardly a rising star. Maybe in the realm of boxing fans, but to the casual sports fan he's nobody. He needs to get some marquee fights. Either that or beat Berto. Beating Berto seems to be a one-way ticket.

Don't know what people keep crying about Sergio for. Sergio fights at 160 and walks around at 180. Floyd's never weighed more than 151 for a fight, WW or JMW. At the very least Sergio has to make 154 for a fight with Floyd. I'd even say they should fight at 152. Ghost called Floyd out at from 135 (2 weight classes lower). Floyd laughed. Ghost moved to Floyd's weight class and won two fights which he should've lost. Now he's fighting Floyd. Maravilla keeps fighting guys at 160. If he's serious about fighting Floyd he needs to campaign at 154.

Keep in mind, Sergio is willing to lose any weight (he claims) to fight Floyd, but he won't dare move up 8 pounds. Ward would tax that ****ing ass :deal and badly.

How anyone thinks he fights 6 times is a joke. I will gladly take sig bets over the long term for this one. Even a permanent ban wager.

if he fights 6 more times he might as well make it 7 to top Marcianos undefeated record....i highly doubt we'll see 6 more fights but that would be dope.

i think if sergio wants the fight with floyd he needs to go down to 154 and beat a top 10 guy in the division to show he can still be the man a divsion below.

sure lou could sort out been on the same card as floyd

    floyd vs canelo/trout winner
sergio vs lara or hell jus takes out k-9 /ishje smith so he wins a belt and can call the fight with floyd a 'unification' of the division

seems simple enough but as in boxing theres a million things that'll f~ck it up

It's for up to 6 fights - Floyd fights once a year - he has 2-3 fights left in him, maybe 4 if he fights more often

"UP" to 6 fights doesn't mean he's gonna fight 6 times.

Probably not. But then, a guy like Floyd would love to finish at 50-0 wouldn't he? I agree though, he won't put pursuing 50 wins ahead of making sure he retires undefeated. If he finds he's slipping at all he'll retire.

In an ideal world (which won't happen but wishful thinking), it would be something like this:

    1. Guerrero May '13
    2. Alvarez Sept '13
    3. JMM/Pac 5 winner April/May '14
    4. Brook/Alexander Sept '14
    5. Khan (if he doesn't get knocked out between this and then) March/April '15
    6. Martinez (if hes still around/winning) or Golovkin Autumn '15
    7. Farewell fight to get to 50-0
    8. Retires undefeated, top 10 P4P ATG, becomes a nice guy, works commentary for showtime, reunites with 50 cent and lives happily ever after
