Good thing about the is Showtime deal is that Floyd will be a lot more active. The date of Mayweather's next fight is already pencilled in, 14th September, but no opponent decided as yet.

Who do you think it will be? Who do you think can give him the best test out of the available contenders?

Forget about Pacman, he already has a fight announced and Floyd said in a recent interview, he is not interested in him after his last two losses etc.

They want Khan.... GBP are desperate to make this fight.

They can't risk Amir losing again so I think they might decide to cash out now.

Probably will be Alexander, maybe Bradley if he hasn't got a fight? There's not much choice for him, Canelo would be ideal.

I have no desire to see Mayweather up at 154 anymore... He's to sluggish at the weight, & **** knows what Alverez will weigh come fight night.

Bradley has a belt, undefeated, beat Pac and he's in his prime. A good scalp. Mayweather would win quite easily I think and some would feel it justifies him not having to fight Pac

There is the Goldenboy tournament of winner Garcia v winner of Peterson-Mattysse and then the winner of that to fight Khan. Although if Mayweather comes calling then this tournament will not be completed.

Bradley has to be the standout contender at present, given his performance against Pacman.

There's no fight at welterweight that excites me. Bradley is fighting JMM so who does that leave?

    Devon Alexander?
    Marcos Maidana?
    Amir Khan?

If Broner looks very good at 147, then I suppose that would excite me somewhat.

    Alvarez is the obvious choice.

Would be shocked if it's somebody else.

Alverez climbed in the ring against Trout weighing just about the light heavy limit, why the **** would Floyd fight someone like that?

I don't think it'll be Alvarez just yet.

18/24 months time or so and this has the potential to be the biggest (or one of) PPV fights ever.

Alvarez promoters will spend the time building his profile keeping his '0' in tact.

He and Floyd will face off in an absolute mega fight (on paper at least) both with their 0's in tact.

Alot of the boxers seem to have fights lined up apart from Canelo, but if that fight don't happen I don't know who's next? possibly Alexander or Garcia they the only ones who seem free for Sept. I can't see Khan next I think they want him against Alexander for IBF then make a unification with Floyd if he can beat Devon. If that's the case they wouldn't throw in Devon to Floyd before Khan. Even Garcia they lining him up with winner of Peterson and Mattahyse. Really Canelo only one ready to go for Sept but Floyd has given no indication he is willing to fight him but then again he never calls out names anyway.

Yes but you have to look at it the other way aswell-how much is the heavy weight loss affecting Alvarez? His stamina and workrate and average and weight making surely must play a role in it.
Besides Floyd has already fought heavier men.

Floyd would fight him for the same reason he fights everybody else-money.And I'd expect him to make more with Alvarez then he made with Guerrero.

Many of the other relevant guys are booked aswell.
