pac is sooo off balance when he throws punches he is completely relying on his speed to land! So floyd hits him and pac will drop with his lunging punches
I don't think Floyd will KO Pac after seen Pac taking the best shots from Cotto he will have to risk too much Floyd is a pure boxer not a brawler he will pull an UD.
one major thing all the pac fans are forgetting, that mayweather is just as fast as pacquiao, or faster, and his foortwork is way better than pacs, ring iq, i give the edge to money, but pacs has gotten way better there, i also think money will ko pac, he will counter, and just knoe what to do
I hate to say it but I agree with you. I'm not sure PBF can KO Pac, but he is a pure technician. Cotto is a slugger and that is a big difference. I'll watch PBF v Pac but it could become a borefest ala PBF v JMM.
No, he won't. Pacquiao will win and keep Floyd on the back foot all night long. Floyd has nothing to keep the Pacman off of him.:smoke:smoke
Floyd is going to knockout Pacquiao ... this fight took alot out of Pacquiao, he was severely beat up and looked worse for wear ... I also think that Pacquiao still shows some of those bad habits ... he walked into a few of Cotto's punches and during this incredible run, him walking into punches has been just as consistent than his win streak. Floyd would not give Pacquiao a target ... I think there is no one who can match adjust Floyd in adjustments or tacticle advantages ... in addition to that Floyd has waay more weapons than Pacquiao ... Cotto only threw the left hand ... DLH only had the left hand ... Floyd has two hands ... and I can tell you that Floyd's left hand is better than Pacquiao's right hand. Given that Pacquiao took his fight game to a new level (psychological) ... he's going to have to think more in the ring and I doubt he or Roach can out think Floyd.
All roads lead to Mayweather ... he's the best fighter in this generation, what Pacquiao is doing is great but none of those guys he beat was on a "roll" like the one Mayweather is on. His confidence has never been spoiled and Floyd actually wants the fight. I seen that he tried to make the fight happen before the Marquez fight. I really wish that Roach or Pacquiao would've said something about fighting Mayweather or atleast attempt to call him out. Its going to be interesting to see the build up of this fight ... What Pacquiao is doing is amazing but he's not on the level technically as Floyd Mayweather ... its just like that ... when you face Floyd - nothing physical comes into play, its all mental.
It would've been great if Roach had said "I know Floyd is watching, if he wants to fight, he knows where to find us ... and Manny'll knock him out" That would set the world on fire and i'm sure the fight would get made asap !!
Pac didn't take those shots all that well ... he had a busted eardrum ... his ear was swollen ... he was lumped up ... at times he really looked to be effected by those punches but his drive caused him to explode ... his hands were swollen ... after the fight he was in bad shape.
Floyd doesn't have to worry about taking flush shots ... its hard to hit him flush and he's got a great chin.
Barrera and Morales where better pressure fighter then Castillo and Coralles. Pacman continued is glorious ways after those fights. Maywheater never took another challenge in is carreer after Castillo. Hes not really worth all the hype.
Let me put my 2 cents in. In the last few fights, Pacman proved he can adjust to any fighter, and have all the abilities to do so. He is so unpredictable that he'll do something different everytime. We all know his aggressive style in his younger days. When he fought Dia, he fought a smart aggressive but mixed in with lots of counters. When he fought De Lahoya, he fought in and out. When he fought Hatton, he was very aggressive with knockout punches unlike his old aggressive ways where it was nothing but straight lefts. Last night against Cotto, I feel he was there to show that he can take punches, something that we have questioned before. When or if Floyd/Pac is gonna happen, I'm sure he'll bring a new game plan to the table. You can not say this is what Pac's gonna do because you've seen his last fights. This I know, Floyd has never fought a fighter as powerful as Manny using both hands. Floyd's defense has been to roll away from the opponents weaker hands but he can't do that against Manny for the reason that Manny can deliver power shots from either hands. From what we've seen last night, Manny is not bothered from a hit. I expect that Floyd will tag Manny as he's coming in, but it will not stop Manny. Manny can pressure Floyd to get him off balance from his defensive stance and all Floyd could do at that point is run. If Manny can cut off the ring, it's history for Floyd. For this fight, I would expect Manny to work mostly on how to cutt of the ring against Floyd, something I don't doubt Manny can do. He is a student of boxing and he keeps learning more and more. I'd put my money on Pac. I wanted to add. Something that bothered me last night. If you understand Filipino, you might have been puzzled too. Manny basically fought on his own last night. What I mean by that is he was not doing what Buboy and Freddie were telling him to do. Buboy was speaking in Filipino saying these words. Don't fight at his pace, you gotta move in and out, don't be stationary, stay off the ropes, he's only going one direction, cut him off from the right. Instead, Manny with his own will, decided to test himself if he can handle Cotto's strength by standing still and taunting Cotto to give him his best shot. I as a Pacfan was shouting get off the ropes! I was absolutely shocked to see that he didn't even budge from those shots Cotto gave him, especially the ones to the stomach. I think he was out to prove that he can withstand anyone's punches at this weight. In the end, I saw a respect coming from Manny as he basically just watched Cotto run. He knew he had the fight and there was no sense of knocking Cotto out other than to please the crowd. He tried and would've if the opportunity was there but he didn't think it was that important and instead put his hands down and looked at the crowd as if to say "I'm sorry, I can't hit someone who's running away from me full steam.". In that, I respect Manny even more as a gentleman. In the end, I saw respect and humility coming from both sides. How can you not love these 2 guys?
