I'm a fan of both fighters. Pac is on a roll and has certainly improved greatly over the past few years. What he's accomplished in regards to moving up so rapidly in weight and starching excellent fighters while winning multiple titles is very impressive. Having said that, if he ever faces Mayweather he will lose and below is an explanation why. In addition to what is stated below, Pac doesn't have much of a jab and barring a fluke knockout, nobody beats Mayweather without a great jab. In regards to weight, it really doesn't matter if they fight at a catchweight or at 147 because on the night of the fight they will weigh right around the same and it's not like Mayweather is that much naturally bigger (yes, Pac started at 106 when he was 17, but was killing himself to make that weight and moved up to 122 by age 21 and Mayweather was at 130 at the same age. There's also about a 2 inch height difference between the two. The reach, however is very much in Mayweather's favor. Mayweather has a 72 inch reach, but more importantly he has a 26 inch arm lengh (from the arm pit to the end of the fist which is the same arm lengh as Wladamir Klitshcko)

    Defense: Mayweather by far
Hand Speed: Tie (whoever is faster the difference is negligible)
Quickness: Slight edge to Pac, but again it's negligible
    Intellect: Mayweather by far
Power: Pac, but Floyd isn't far behind and has underrated power
    Reach: Mayweather by a mile
    Height: Mayweather
Heart: They're both great champs and neither have shown an edge over the other
    Footwork: Mayweather
    Athleticism: Mayweather
    Versatility: Mayweather
    Ability to Adjust: Mayweather
    Experience: Tie
Confidence: Mayweather (Not that Pac isn't confident, I have to give the edge to the guy who hasn't lost)
    Jab: Mayweather
    Hook: Mayweather
Overhand right/left: Pac, but Mayweather's right is no joke
Uppercut: Tie, this isn't a big punch for either fighter
    Body Punching: Mayweather

    Your thoughts?

Decent annalysis - Id favour the better boxer Mayweather myself but he has to be 100% vs Pac who is on fire.

Mayweather is a good defensive fighter that fights one way, very defensively, and he's very good at it. He has good reflexes and accuracy. It's not like he's a genius, how, why? He's got good reflexes and counters very well.

This whole ring wizard thing with amazing adaptability, versatility. I've never seen such thing.

No matter who his opponent is, he fights the same way, the same insane ducking style, that looks like he's running for his life, but is very effective.

HATTON is a good defensive fighter that fights one way, very defensively, and he's very good at it. He has good reflexes and accuracy. It's not like he's a genius, how, why? He's got good reflexes and counters very well.

We will see! what will happen on the 4th quarter of this year!

The only reason why mayweather was undefeated is because he picks the fighter that he know are weak, the same reason he quit for a while is because hes so scared to fight the fighter who was next in line. I bet his balls are shrinking now that he will fight JMM!

My 2 cents goes to JMM!

Don't get carried away too quick, we need to see how Mayweather peforms in his next fight. If Mayweather shows he lost even a single thing in his abilities then he won't be able to beat Pacquiao. To beat Pac you need to bring your A game and at it's best mentally AND physically, otherwise you're toast.

Got to wait to make judgments for this fight as I'm sure it's going to come.

Huh? I pick floyd to beat Pacquiao. I want Pac to win but it's gonna be tough.

Mayweather fights the same way against everyone, even when he can turn it up a lot, he won't, he stays in his comfort zone. Yeah he's a wizard :rofl. He's more like Jones except Jones is less defensive and lets his hands go more.

If you are trying to say that what I said applies to Hatton and De La Hoya, you fail.

Dude, you need to go back and watch a bunch of his fights. He does not fight everyone the same. He has shown amazing versatility --he can fight on the inside, outside, against the ropes, in the pocket, going forward, backward, laterally. He also switches up his rhythm and is indeed a defensive genius. He is in the top 3 all-time in regards to defensive skills.
