Mayweather will NEVER fight Pacquiao.

I only read the first 4 or 5 posts but a lot of you are gonna be very shocked at the masterclass Mayweather puts on Pacman.... if Floyd doesnt take this fight I will never mention his name again because it will = filth as far as the boxing greats are concerned but I really believe the fight will happen & Mayweather will give him a boxing lesson.
He has a completely different style & is a more talented fighter than Manny`s last 5 opponents... in fact, he his flat out better than all of them.

Tremendous victory by Pac, a one off fighter no doubt.... but so is Mayweather & IMHO the Pac fight will be his day to prove that his talent can actually equal his greatness.

Agreed. It's a very normal and human reaction for people to perceive size as a threat. Boxing isn't a natural thing, in this sport styles and skills determine how fights will play out. Smaller guys with better skills and styles like Morales, Marquez, Cotto, Clottey, etc gave emmanuel a tougher fight than marg did.

marg is a punching bag, and emmanuel is a punching machine. The latter shines its brightest against the former.

 

For Manny, the Margarito win goes a long way to establishing his durability and chin but doesn't do much else for etching out what would happen in a potential Floyd match up. Floyd is a different animal. It makes the match up very interesting to me since Floyd has never faced anybody as good as Manny, but Manny has never faced anybody as skilled as Floyd. We will just have to wait and see.

Manny will not land at will against Floyd like some of you seem to invision. We're talking 1 of the ATG defenses boxing has ever seen...

Underestimating Floyd Mayweather...

 

I think he meant that Floyd would need to bring that sort of FORM into the ring vs Manny to get the W... not necessarily that he would beat Pac in the same manner.

 

C'mon man, you have to give credit where credit is due though. Weight classes are made for a reason. 17 lbs is a lot of ****ing weight. Khan, Marquez, Morales are all very skilled, but I doubt they beat the "human punching bag" Margarito...or do you not agree with this statement?

 

Yet you underestimate Pac. Pac is gonna put that ATG defense to the test and I believe he will crack that defense. I'm praying that Mayweather grows a pair and takes this fight.

 

Morales did beat marg a few times in the amateur games.

Dude get real! You want me to break it down for you? Before Manny can even think about a combo on Floyd he is going to have to eat a quick, sharp and very accurate jab to his head and body. Then when he tries to make up ground with his foot speed Floyd will not be there in front of him. Both fighters have great foot speed but Floyd has better foot work. They both have hand speed but Floyd is faster and the reason he is faster is bc of his timing! Why do you think Marquez who is way slower than Manny and Floyd beat Manny to the punch and out landed him in both fights? Now you sit back and marinate on that!

 

And what I'm trying to say is Floyd's FORM in that fight resulted in the fact that he was fighting a much slower guy...I don't know, just maybe.

 

Let's all just pray that this fight happens so all this bickering can ****ing stop. Until then Mayweather's a *****.
