If Floyd was delusional, this fight would have happened. Far from being delusional, Floyd appears to have a very good relationship with reality. He is on such good terms with reality that he knows quite rightly that fighting Pacquiao would be a terrible terrible decision. It would be a bad career decision, it would be a bad decision from the standpoint of his physical health. It would arguably even be a bad financial decision.

I really wish Floyd weren't so freaking rational and non-delusional.

Yes, it sealed the deal but the question is whether or not Floyd makes it happen. Pacquiao is starting to not only surpass Mayweather in terms of legacy - he is eclipsing him.
