Such a nice deed by Floyd, but he shouldn't have announced it on public.

When you post something on twitter or Facebook, it IS your intention to make it known worldwide. So the intention of helping is THERE, but he also wants the whole world to know about it. It's like "Hey world, look, I'm paying for Joe's Funeral".

Still, it's a nice deed. Maybe he just doesn't know it's not decent to announce something like that on twitter.

Good gesture for Floyd jr but announcing it made it look like his bragging about it. By the way when he announced it did he contact the family involved or just say to the public I'm paying for it. This is much better compared to burning money though...

Didn't need to advertise it, and I'm sure Joes friends and family won't appreciate anyone declaring the fact that they paying for the funeral without their prior consent

Leave Floyd alone. What do you expect from an immature twat. Very seldom we see him publicly do good deeds. Let the man get some props for it and be done with it. This is about Joe, not Floyd damn it!

Yeah the right way to go about this would have been to offer help to Joe's family, privately. Announcing to the world that ur gonna be paying for Joe's funeral makes it seem like a publicity stunt. Although I'm gonna give Floyd the benefit of a doubt that he's just a moron who doesn't know any better, rather than absolute scum who would use the death of Frazier to make himself look good....

A class act from Floyd! Frazier was on hard times in recent years even though you would not know it from his personality. Also, RIP champ you will be loved and remembered.

Don't want to criticise Floyd, because he will honour his word and pay for it, and that's a good deed. But there was no need to announce it on twitter. Is he looking for praise for doing it? That's his personality type, always trying to improve his public image and looking for approval. Just a shame he had to do it in this case. Still, fair play to him, I'm sure Joe's family will appreciate it.

someone honoring the man by paying for his funeral insulting? One less thing the family has to worry about in a depressing time. Mayweather didnt tweet I am going to pay for the funeral because the dont have money. He just said he would pay for it.

I agree with the lot here that he should've gone about it anonymously. It's still a class thing to do though, showing respect to a legend of your calling. RIP Smoking Joe.
