    I've read it a few times, so I assumed it was true and from Mayweather himself. There's a thread on the first page right now which says the same thing and is attributed to Mayweather.

    There wouldn´t be professional boxing if there wasn´t paying customers, a.k.a boxing fans.

    If there was no professional boxing, where would Floyd be now? He wouldn´t be a multi millionaire, that´s for sure.

    I wouldn´t blame him if he retired. He´s what, 34 years old, and has been boxing for years and nobody should blame him if he just retired.

    But if he continues to fight and when every boxing fan in the planet wants to see Pac vs May, then I´d say that Floyd owes us this fight (Manny does too of course, but he isn´t the one refusing to take the fight).

    Where would Mayweather be without boxing fans? Boxing would still be in a perfectly fine situation without him but if he wasn't a boxer, there's no chance he'd have the money and fame he has now.

    All boxers should want to give the fans the best fights they can. That's how this sport works; fans make boxers rich and famous, boxers entertain the fans.
