Floyd doesn't throw power punches so even if he had GGG power he still wouldn't be just knocking out everybody unless he changed his style but that would also leave him more open to counters. GGG generates so much power because he plods forward with his feet planted and is constantly ready to sit on his punches, he also uses high guard and hand-to-the-chin defense (as in the fundamental 'throw a right hand and keep your left hand on the chin, throw a left hand and keep your right hand on the chin'). If Floyd was doing that his style of technical defense would be out of the window and he'd have to rely on just pure reflexes and chin or learn GGG-style defense basically from scratch. Defending leaning forward like GGG and defending leaning backwards like Floyd are two different things, Floyd might be a master of defense within his set of defensive styles but could he do a Tyson-style bobbing and weaving defense while moving forward and looking for the kill? Philly shell stance isn't optimal for power punching either. It's a style for jab, check hook and counter right punches, which are only powerful if your opponent walks into them. You need to lean back and bounce back a lot of the time which takes power away from punches and if you open up your head is completely exposed.

It's one thing to have power but it's another thing to actually have effective offense and be defensively responsible at the same time. Many fighters had power in their genes but we probably never heard about many of them because they didn't develop proper offensive skills to really use it.

I think people seriously underestimate the technique behind power punchers and think they were just genetically born with some out of this world power. The reason why GGG is so powerful is largely down to his technique although he's obviously genetically blessed as well. Balance plays a huge part, GGG is always perfectly balanced to sit on his punches so whenever even a small opportunity arrives for a split of a second he'll be in a perfect position to throw something powerful, that's why everything he hits other fighters with hurts. In contrast guys like Floyd are always perfectly balanced to do some evasive move or counter in a split of second. You can't just defend like Floyd by having great speed and reflexes either, it's also down to technique.

You're entitled to your opinions, but the facts don't lie. If Mayweather wasn't worried about Canelo's dangerous punching power, then he wouldn't have demanded a 152 catchweight. If Mayweather didn't rate or appriciate Canelo's skills, he wouldn't have issued so many compliments of him.

As I said, he's heavy handed, but GGG's power is on a whole different level.
