138 lbs would be a nice catchweight, one in which I'd definitely give JMM a legit bonafide chance of winning......but I'm not sure that Mayweather would be willing to come down too after years away from fighting at that weight. If the fight is made, it would likely be at 140 lbs.
A fight with Mayweather makes JMM more money than a Pac fight.... Even if Pac had the balls to face JMM, he'd demand the better end of a 75-25 split, which is exactly the split it took to entice him to fight JMM the 2nd time around.... .....that split is not going to do for JMM this time..... You give JMM a 60-40 split against Mayweather, I'm telling you he's signing on the dotted line!
A Hatton fight may produce more money for JMM than a Mayweather fight, because you have the US and British PPV to split.....where a Mayweather PPV only brings a US split.
I agree. JMM is just about Pac's equal and both of them IMHO is a better fighter than Floyd. Both is capable of beating him (Floyd) at an appropriate catch weight.
I don't know if you're new or being silly, Mayweather has been retired for a long time now. Might as well pick up his old fights if you want to see it "proven in the ring".
jmm called out floyd there won't be a catchweight..he will have to take his ass to 147 where floyd is comfortable. ricky called out floyd nad had to take his ass to 147. pac, jmm will have to do the same.:deal
Everything JMM does Mayweather does better except throwing more punches and punches are the ones that really matter!:good
so floyd would have to be weak and weight drained for marquez to have chance..:admin:admin if marquez and pac are great then they need to step up to 147 and challenge floyd. no catchweight
That would be up to Floyd and not you would'nt it? Floyd really has the choice.....if he unretires and wants to fight at 147 lbs against the big boys.....he has Mosley, Margarito, Paul Williams to chose from...... ....if he's more comfortable against smalller men, then you have Pac, JMM, and Hatton to chose from at 140 lbs..... Its basically Floyd's choice!D
Marquez is great and everything, but that doesn't mean he's on the level of Floyd Mayweather Jr. The only way I'd like to see this fight is if Floyd can make Lightweight which I doubt he can now. Even if he can, who's to say he doesn't come in extremely weight drained.
Lets be realistic. Floyd will not come out of retirement to fight this guy. Maybe he'll do it for Cotto, Mosley, or Pac but not JMM. There is nothing that JMM can do better than Floyd. This would be a slaughter.
Of all the comparisonsatsch RJJ fought everyone, even as a shot fighter he stepped to Calzaghe. Anyway, for Floyd, he just needs to fight a top fighter period, whether its a midget or not. The best guy this man has fought in the last few years is Hatton at 147.
