He was walking down Vicious (164) being at 149-150 during their bout. There's no reason to believe that Money can't do it to Martinez if they were to fight at 154.

Martinez would walk in the bout @ 167-169, May 152.

May is too skilled, too good for Martinez.

I know you're trolling, but I really do think that would be part of their strategy

Trolling? It's what WOULD happen if they were to ever fight.

I believe you are dreaming, Martinez would be the heavier puncher and is just as quick as Floyd. He may not be near Floyd's level in defense but since he has absolutely nothing to worry about power wise from Floyd, its a wash. Martinez by KO late in the fight IMO.

Unfortunately he isn't, and that's how we was ever since.

  6. he doesnt have floyds defensive ability...and he doesnt have floyds adaptability....he doesnt have his ring iq.....

i like sergio....but knocking out a guy that stands right in front of you and basically doesnst even bother to learn defense(paul williams) isnt that impressive to me....thats the most impressive win for sergio....paul williams only trains to throw punches and for stamina so that he can throw tons of punches...and openly admitted that he never watched the tape of getting ko'd because there is nothing he could learn from it...which i think is an absolute joke

sergio is a good fighter...but floyd has too many tools to use....and sergio has never been in with someone with that many tools...and floyds tools arent generic...they are top of the line

That would be an awful awful game plan!! Martinez excels at fighters who come at him. He wants pressure.

Barker & Macklin showed that if you box Martinez from the outside, he is beatable. P.Will pressured him and Martinez cracked him a great KO shot!

  9. yeah but p wills pressure isnt intelligent pressure.....pwill has never learned or tried to learn how to apply defense to his game....the guy simply trains to throw tons of punches and for stamina so he can do that......u can apply intelligent pressure just through punching to a degree.....but you have to be able to slip and roll punches and counter if you want to do it right....

you had tons of people claiming that floyd was avoiding p will for years.....watch the lara fight and tell me if paul would have given floyd any trouble at all lol

Ya he is rubbish at it but if i gave another older example most people wouldn't have seen or heard of it!!

But Barker & Macklin boxed and occasionally put pressure and they did better when they boxed so that should be the main method IMO.

Have to be very careful when pressurising him as he is very powerful!!

Yea he should actually just go in the middle of the ring and trade with him toe to toe.

None of us can predict what Mayweather would do against Martinez, if we could we would be world champions.

Floyd could implement his high guard very successfully in this fight, I think that was one of the main reasons for Barkers success early on.

Dont assume that just cos there are similar weights involved the punching power would be the same.
