1 Jose Luis Castillo 1 2 Jose Luis Castillo 2 3 ODLH 4 Zab Judah 5 Jesus Chavez 6 Carlos Hernandez 7 Victoriano Sosa 8 Gregorio Vargas 9 Emanuel Burton 10 DeMarcus Corleyatsch
Toughest fights in terms of opposition or physical exertion? I'd rank Jose Luis Castillo 2 way lower. Floyd had an easy time in the second fight. I'd rank Carlos Hernandez in the top 3, and Emanuel Augustus number 1. Floyd always claimed that was his toughest fight. Something like 1. Emanuel Augustus 2. Jose Castillo 3. Carlos Hernandez 4......He won the rest pretty easily. No point in really ranking past those 3 fights.
Jose Luis Castillo I. That was a close fight. I don't really understand the "robbery" claims seeing as how Castillo did so little in the first 4-5 rounds (then again, robbery is always claimed when a fight is close, but that was a very tough fight for Mayweather. DLH was his 2nd closest fight, then Judah. Burton/Augustus bloodied Floyd's nose, and Floyd said that was his toughest bout, but Mayweather pretty much kicked Burton's ass. Fighters tend to say strange things on whom their best/toughest opponent was, and sometimes it seems to be as an attempt to downplay a loss/near loss.
Exactly, like when Calzaghe always said Chris Eubank was his toughest fight when it was clearly his close shave against Robin Reid.Cotto said Zab Judah gave him his toughest fight, but it was clearly Ricardo Torres at the time.
