nce again that he was a superior revenue generator to Pacquaio, and therefore he was right to demand the lions share. We heard a bunch of clowns arguing that Pac deserved 50/50, but the numbers say otherwise. Mayweather can make 40, 50, 60 million a fight without Pacquiao. Pacquiao doesn't sniff that. Pacquaio needs Mayweather more than Floyd needs him and he was stupid to turn down the biggest payday of his career. The facts keep proving Floyd right. 1) Floyd was right to ask for simple OSDT, especially seeing as how many other fighters are also doing it including Pacquiao demanding it himself. 2) Floyd was right to ask for the lions share of the money seeing as how he is signing mega fight deals and smashing purse records while Pacquiao is fighting in Asia. The blame for the superfight not happening lies with Pacquiao/Arum :deal
I'm appalled at the level of intelligence on this forum. Negotiations for Pacquiao vs Mayweather happened BEFORE Pacquiao got robbed by Bradley and lost to Marquez. Pacquiao had been on a winning streak for the past 6-7 years prior. Do you guys understand what this means? Are you guys even boxing fans? If Mayweather loses to Canelo, do you think he will have leverage like he does now?
This has nothing to do with leverage. Pacquaio is still the A side over Rios. He called the shots. He didn't have to implement OSDT. When you consider how much he balked at it, when Floyd asked for it, and the fact that he is now the one demanding it, it clearly shows who waas responsible for the fight not happening.
you can't put it all on Arum Manny is an ADULT. Oscar and Floyd left Bob and became richer without him. Manny could have done the same thing considering his worldwide popularity. Blaming Arum can only go so far.
naw, they just weren't sure if Pac's cut would be healed in 6 months He was good to go until the judge postponed Floyd's sentence.
Deep in their hearts, those hard core Pac defenders know u speak the truth. That's why they continue to revert to lame isht like Pac's 'pride' or how he doesn't have to 'bow down' to Mayweather's 'demands'. Pac/Arum overplayed their hand, using Pac's (at the time) high popularity as leverage to hide the fact that they were always on the wrong side of history of the testing issue (1st negotiations) and the money split (post PBF/Mosley ppv #s). Sad, but it is what it is.
