All it proves to me is how pathetic the current boxing scene is.

I just turned 50 and have been watching boxing since I was a kid, but I've almost stopped watching it now because like may posters here, it's simply become too childish. I really don't give a rats ass who gets paid what, I just want to see good fights, and when I don't get to see them, I don't really care whose fault it is, we the fans are the losers. This is certainly nothing like it was in the 80's, when the fab 4 were finding ways to make fights, not avoid making fights.

I suspect that a lot of guys tune in, in the hope of seeing him lose. Although he's a great fighter, he's a complete ****!

Regarding your points.

1. He didn't simply ask. Manny was backed into a corner. Floyd Snr accused Manny of being dirty, and little Floyd went along with it, and then issued testing demands. Manny agreed to be tested, so there was no reason for Floyd to not grant his cut off request, that included an after fight test, and a urine test at any point. Fighters are now implementing Floyd's demands, including Manny. But it's been done in the correct manner, and nobody as had to sue for defamation of character. Nobody else had an issue fighting Manny, only Floyd. Also, Floyd turned pro in 1996. So why did it take him 13 years before he was suddenly on a mission to clean up the sport?

2. Floyd was right to want the larger percentage. But offering Manny $40m, and wanting to keep the entire PPV revenue, from a fight that would have grossed between $200-300m, was a complete and utter joke! Manny wasn't going to accept that, to see Floyd walk away with triple the amount. In my honest opinion, that stunt right there, told me that Floyd was never serious about making the fight.

How can you lay the blame all at Manny's door?

Just because he didn't agree to all of Floyd's demands?

What do you think would have happened if Freddie Roach had said "I think Floyd is dirty!" And then Manny had've demanded OSDTing?

You'd have to be crazy to think that the Mayweather's wouldn't have gone berserk!


Maybe if Floyd hadn't made the demands in the first place, we'd have seen the fight?


Floyd never wanted testing at the start. He only wanted it after his bag mouth Daddy had made the unsubstantiated claims.


Marquez has fought Manny FOUR times without testing, as well as lots of other fighters.


If you don't hold Floyd responsible in anyway whatsoever, then you need to see a psychiatrist.

 

Just proves that Floyd is American. But regardless of the amount of money, Floyd will never live in the USA the way Manny lives in the Philippines.
