Floyd knows his audience; he got the barbershop and Hip-Hop audience, the young boys on the corner. A lot of them dont check things on details. If you say something they buy it as true. Nazim Richardson.
I have been boxing since I was 13 years old. I'am very detail oriented. I think Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best pound for pound fighter since Ray Leonard. What is your point? Because young, urban youth relate to Lil' Floyd in someway discredits what he has accomplished?
Nah. Floyd fans come in all sizes shapes and colors. Of course he's going to attract the urban hip hop crowd, i.e the PC term for young blacks and latinos. But His fandom spans many different ethnicities, nationalities and races upon my observation and talking boxing with outsiders. 2:26 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY-ZfdqQDew[/ame]
I thought the barbershop specialized in racial debates over Rocky Marciano, Mike Tyson's bulldog look, and the age of Joe Louis.
That's not the point, what Nazeem says it's about type in this case. It's like saying Ricky Hatton fans are mostly British beerbelly soccerfans. There are a lot of boxers who have a certain 'type' of fans, and there are a lot who can't be put in such a box.
When I was about 15, 16 years old that could definitely describe me. What is the point. I don't comprehend what this thread is supposed to be about.
