Interested to see how highly people rate Mayweather's resume by division and if you consider him a legit 5 weight champion. Who do you consider the best fighter he beat in each division and where did you rank his opponent at the time of the fight?

Super-feather: Genaro Hernandez or Diego Corrales?
    Lightweight: Castillo?
Light-welterweight: DeMarcus Corley or Arturo Gatti?
Welterweight: Zab Judah, Baldomir, Hatton or Shane Mosley?
    Light-middleweight: Oscar de la Hoya.

Super-feather: Diego Corrales. He was considered the number 1 in the division and was a Top 15 P4P Fighter at the time.

Lightweight: Castillo, He had just beat Johnson and his stock was quite high BUT he only really considered Elite after running Floyd close.

Light-welterweight: Arturo Gatti. People Dismiss this win but Gatti was in Brilliant form going into this fight and alot of people were thinking he might be to strong for Floyd.

Welterweight: Shane Mosley. The guy was Top 3 P4P when they fought.

Light-middleweight: Oscar de la Hoya. Top 2 Light- Middleweight at the time.

Exactly this, I remember at the time watching this with my friends and they were all on the Gatti hype.

    sf: Corrales (best in division)

    lw: castillo (best in division)

lww: corley (first time he ever got hurt)

ww: hatton (ye ill get slated, but i expected hatton to win an floyd beat him on the inside, plus hatton was right at his peak. and i had it even at time of deduction)

lmw: oscar (only fight at the weight and arguably best lmw at that time)

    Super-feather: Diego Corrales?
Lightweight: Castillo? - yeah if you could call it that sure why not.
Light-welterweight: DeMarcus Corley or Arturo Gatti?...neither really rate for me.
    Welterweight: Shane Mosley
    Light-middleweight: Oscar de la Hoya

    lightweight - JMM

JMM is considered pound for pound number 2. *****s are claiming that victory by virtue of JMM being the pound for pound number 2 but that glory is based on a lightweight JMM, not a welterweight JMM. Therefore, Mayweather should be credited with a win at lightweight, which is bigger than Castillo fight.

OKAY for everyone who listed Hatton as Mayweathers best at welterweight ask yourself this: Who wins between Hatton and Mosley at that weight? Easy answer there. Mosley, even at his older age of 38.

The ricky hatton that fought mayweather at 147 v the SSM from the mayweather fight? Hatton wins , easy. SSM gassed by the end of round 2. Hell, Floyd, Mr. Conservitive, did not even seem to respect his power.
