As for the weight between Mayweather and Marquez:

In the week leading up to the fight, Marquez took payment and signed an agreement for the fight to be at the full 147 pound Welterweight limit.

So while there was a 144 pound catchweight when the fight was signed, the fight was a 147 pound affair well before weigh in time.



I'm not sure if people just don't know this or choose not to acknowledge it or what...

EDIT: It is similar to when Rosado was to fight Golovkin at a 158 pound catchweight and then a couple weeks before the fight took payment and signed an agreement for the fight to be at the full 160 pound MW limit.

 

His best win is ODLH.

If Marquez moving up two weights and Mayweather completely ignoring the weight limit is his best win, that doesn't say much for his career.

Mayweather pulled a Pac v Rios. Rios only fought two fights above lightweight before pac forced him to fight at full welterweight.

Floyd's best win was. Castillo 2 because he lost the first fight

 

Marquez didnt move weights, to fight Mayweatger, he simply didnt have cut. Him and Floyd are roughly the same size.
