Funny lets see if Floyd fights anyone when he is 35. The problem with this is that at Floyd's age Roy was p4p king. He is at the end of his career, to me his career has been over for quite sometime.
Ya I'll give you that Chavez was a very good fighter back then and Floyd stopped him, but the first Castillo fight needs to be out of there. Many think Floyd loss that fight, I don't personally.
Clinton Woods has beaten....Glen Johnson and Julio Cesar Gonzales. Zab Judah has beaten...Junior Witter, DeMarcus Corley, Rafael Pineda, Cory Spinks. Montell Grifin has beaten...James Toney and Derrick Harmon. Arturo Gatti has beaten....Gabriel Ruelas, Joey Gamache, Gianluca Branco, Leonard Dorin, Jesse James Leija, Thomas Daamgard (ranked #5 by The Ring at the time).
I dont think that Woods is a very good win , i do think Hatton is though . But maybe Woods is a better win for Jones than what Hatton is for Mayweather , Jones beat Woods at his best weight , Mayweather beat a WW Hatton. Not making excuses for Hatton BTW , i dont like him 1 bit , and he was outclassed , just a point though
I think Hatton is better than Clinton Woods! I think it is about par - two wins over a prime Castillo and one over Corrales are excellent, but Gatti was shot to pieces, Judah and DLH slightly past their prime also. But a few of Jones opponents aren't that great either.
Gatti was shot to HELL... Judah was coming off of a loss to Carlos baldomir. He has been terrible for a long time, he only came back into the spotlight with his win against Corey Spinks who was dominating that ass before then. He won a spilt decision against Corley.
Hopkins, Toney and Ruiz are all more impressive than ANY of Mayweather's wins So he's got some catching up to do, and this proposed fight with Panties-boy won't do him any favours
A dude I didn't make the Thread. I have been a fan of Floyds for a long time when no one was talking about him. He was always my favorite fighter, but I still don't think Roy gets enough credit where it is due. Floyd's prime and best victories were at jr light.
Win it comes to wins, I believe it should be rated on how they won as well. The way Roy beat the people you have listed, far exceeds the manner in which Floyd did.
I think RJJ just because of the way he beat Virgil Hill. That rib shot hurt him so bad that I think Hill **** out a kidney in the ring.
