all of you guys are ******ed and not thinking boxing

you all do realize the thread starter is talking about activity as in volume of punches not some fighting 4 times a year vs 1 time a year frequency bull****

mother****ers are more worried about hearing the sound of their own voice than listening. no wonder why most of your posts look like AZZ whenever there's a technical discussion thread

 I honestly didn't even read the OP. :yep Got halfway into it, and it just seemed to confirm my assumption of what the title meant (when that last sentence would have made it clear it was something else)

    His workrate suits him well.

If judges were scoring lots of rounds against him, you could call it a weakness. They don't. He doesn't have Mijares Syndrome. Even though judges may not like his style, he's effective enough at all times that they have no choice but to give him rounds even when the other guy is doing things they like such as "forcing the fight" and "outhustling him".

Y'know...she isn't usually one of my faves, but I'm finding this very touch-self-to-able.

If your talking about workrate, it's a weakness in that he doesnt put punches together. That's the biggest hole in his game . He never puts more then 2 punches together. He'd be an infinitely better fighter if threw combinations. But he doesn't have the mindset to do that

His workrate suits him perfectly. The thing with Mayweather isn't just that he's picky with his shots, he also restricts and limits the output of his opponents.

Everyone who has done well against Mayweather had enough patience to be comfortable throwing a lower volume of punches. Zab Judah won some of the clearest rounds we ever seen anyone win off of Floyd, and Zab threw a ridiculously low volume. Cotto(e), one of Floyd's toughest fights in recent years, is a patient guy who is used to picking his shots. Miguel did not throw a lot of punches in his 3 prior fights before Mayweather.

It's not as clear-cut as you make it sound. The word "inactivity" has a clear meaning in boxing and it's usually about how often a fighter fights, NOT punch output or workrate.......esp. considering it's FLoyd Mayweather we're talking about here.

It isn't a big strength at all. His biggest strength is his coordination and precision in fights which has to do with another strength in ring IQ. Technically, his biggest strength is his footwork; there is not a fighter today that has the footwork of Floyd Mayweather.

Well, the words "throws as few punches" do make it pretty clear.

Yes...if you read the whole OP before replying...

Yes, I read that. Nevertheless, the OP's wording was vague and could be interpreted both ways, esp with the word "inactivity".
