LOL Even if Manny agrees to that I doubt Floyd will. He won't put his money where is mouth is.

What this guy says. Floyd's 14 day drug test backfired, Pac accepted. Another stall for Floyd since he knows Pac wants the fight now.

I think it's a ploy to get 55-45, which you all know damn well Floyd deserves. Doesn't matter who you like - just look at the numbers....

Agreed. Even Floyd knows 60/40 is outrageous.

Nah Pac legacy is set and whoever he fights, the people will follow, vice versa with Floyd. But Floyd needs this fight. He is getting holes in his armor cuz of him hand picking and ducking quality fighters, and the public is starting to realize that. He has no choice now. Either fight the person who people and boxing fans consider the man, or move up in weight and start fighting 54'lbers, something he clearly doesn't want to do. If he bows out of this one, he will be a tough sell fighting someone else, unless he moves up to junior middleweight.

Only Floyd fans look at the numbers, boxing fans look at what have u done for me lately and while Floyd was retiring and running up bad credit, Manny was literally tearing up fighters they put in front of him. Floyd fans look at PPV numbers, and Pac fans look at quality of opponents lately. Them 2 my friends balance out to a 50/50 split. Floyd is bitching himself out of this fight, but again u talk like u know boxing financing. So please school me on how boxers and why this negotiating is such a big deal? I see one fighter who signed the 14 day drug test thingy and wants half, then another boxer who wanted the drug thingy and has gotten it now he wants another stip, sounds like sum boxer is acting like a ***** about it.

Floyd is a joke. The guy really thinks he can dictate everything. A fight of this magnitude should be 50/50 and that's that. It's stupid that Floyd fans are bringing up figures and history to decide whether who should get the bigger purse. I mean seriously, it's common sense, this fight should be 50/50. If not, I pray Pacquaio retires. That way Floyd won't get a penny.

floyd is simply a coward. he doing what he always do when he know he gotta duck the opponent - fake and pretend he want the fight then figure out his escape hatch out of the fight. for cotto it was his name wasn't big enough and don't do business with Arum.

Last time for Pac it was the 14 day. Now it's the 60-40. ***gotweather is a flat out coward *****. i mean any one who keeps a doosh like ellerbe around is a *****.

exactly.... floyd is NOT bigger than the sport and he is only half the star Pac is... Floyd NEEDS Pac and not the other way around. No way Floyd would have sold out Cowboys stadium fighting Clottey. Thats evidence enough for me.

    Why is it common sense?

The biggest grossing fight in history is De La Hoya vs Mayweather but that wasn't a 50/50 split so why should this one be?

The 60-40 thing sounds like hearsay. Where's the actual quote about that? This is coming from the examiner too btw.

    :good

It's a start point, it's up to the promoters to find a compromise that will probably settle around 55/45 or 52/48.

Calling a boxer names and you expect people to respect what you have to say?:nono

If both camps are confident their fighter will win then 60-40, 60% to the winner would be the best way to go. I still believe that true boxing fans should care less about the split. If you don't get a spilt of the win money then you should not be too concerned about this.
