I think that both Mayweather and Whitaker were great fighters and its subjective as to which fighter you prefer.

I agree Whitaker was more fluid and more natural looking in his bobbing and weaving, almost as natural as a ballerina. But Mayweather is much more diverse in the way he uses his defensive arsenal in fights.

This video was bloody amazing. The only chance in hell Pac got is to get lucky with a punch catching Mayweather off balance when he slips a punch and to make sure that punch connects flush and knocks him out.

That all stops as soon as you bet on Pac to beat FMJ, dont be silly now, FMJ aint David Diaz, weight drained Hoya or Hatton, different game completely here.

As has already been stated by sweet_scientist and Mantequilla, the only defensive technique Floyd uses that Whitaker often didn't was the shoulder roll, and he even showed he was capable of pulling that maneuver off when he felt the need. Normally that wasn't the case though, as it restricted his offensive out-put and countering abilities. This is why Whitaker always showed a better mixture of offense and defense than Mayweather. As far as blocking, catching, and parrying goes (to say nothing of slipping and rolling), Whitaker was at least as good if not better than Mayweather, and he proved it against a higher class of opponents.

Mayweather has great Defensive skills, but I still think Whitaker's was greater and was a much harder fighter to hit cleanly.

    :deal

Call me crazy but I don't find Mayweather all that impressive. It's just a shoulder roll technique. You could make a similiar defensive video on James Toney and it would look just as good. Mayweathers speed is really what makes him so hard to hit.

The way Whitaker and Jones evaded punches was a lot more impressive to me, imo.

If you've been watching boxing and betting for 15 years then you would know to never bet on an elite aggressive pressure fighter like Pac to beat an elite defensive counter-puncher like PBF:deal You're full of ****.:hi:
