Mayweather beat a higly regarded 130 lber in his division who had already accomplished alot in the game at the time and was considered no.4 in the division... this was a very good win for floyd, so why is this fight never brought up? Manfredy was on a 23 fight win streak when floyd beat him ffs....Manfredy should be credited as a very good win.:deal

I think because it was so long ago, and because Floyd Mark II is very different to the fighter that beat Manfredy.

But yes, it was one of his two or three best performances.

Angel Manfredy was a very good fighter when Floyd demolished him...Alot of people picked Manfredy to beat floyd...George Foreman was one of them...:deal

Manfredy was a good fighter. Wins over Robinson, Gatti, Paez and Diaz are nothing to sneeze at. Manfredy had a sideshow quality to him, he was a seriously weird dude and a former addict which made it harder to take him seriously for the fighter he was. I think it was in the Corrales fight after he converted to Pentecostalism where he kept claiming in the pre-fight that his tattoos weren't there any more.

Good performance but nothing too special. Manfredy had already lost as soon as he wore those ridiculous white pants things

Manfredy suffered from s*x addiction and he'd developed a serious coke habit in the months leading up to the Floyd fight. He was a complete wreck, both physically and mentally around that time and the win is basically all but meaningless.

Why? Manfredy was highly regarded and if thats the case why even sign a contract to fight a guy who's style is not for you? Manfredy should be credited as a very good win....:good
