Yet he was still good enough to beat a decent fringe contender in John "Eastern Beast" Brown less than three months earlier...

I don't think you understand how debilitating s*x addiction can be, both physically and psychologically. It can be absolutely devastating when it's in full throttle. It's debilitating enough on its own, let alone when coupled with a serious drug habit too. You should read up on it. I'm not saying Manfredy wasn't a good fighter or that it wouldn't have been a good win for Floyd had he not been battling a severe drug habit and the debilitating effects of s*x addiction. It would've been a decent win for him had Manfredy not had all those problems in his personal life to contend with. However, truth is Manfredy was an absolute wreck around that time so a victory over that version of him means very little at all.
's*x addiction is described by the relationship counselling service, Relate, as any s*xual activity that feels out of control. S*x addiction could involve s*x with a partner, but it may also mean activities such as pornography, masturbation, visiting prostitutes or using chat lines. For many people, these habits don't cause them a problem. However, s*x addicts are unable to control these urges and actions despite the problems they may cause in their relationships and to their finances and professional lives. This addiction is similar to substance abuse because it is caused by the powerful chemical substances released during s*x. Love addicts, on the other hand, become dependent on the emotional stability provided by romantic partners. Love addicts often have low self-esteem and lack self-identity, and their addiction can result in obsessive, controlling behaviour. The cause of love addictions and s*x addictions is often rooted in childhood or adolescence. Early trauma, neglect or depression may be factors. The consequences of s*x addiction and love addiction are varied. s*x addicts and love addicts will typically have long-term relationship and intimacy problems, but the addiction can also affect them financially, professionally, physically and socially. The recovery process for s*x addicts and love addicts is similar to that of substance addictions. It involves identifying and changing behaviour that's painful and damaging'
atsch Like everyone who is caught in the vice like grip of severe drug problem and s*x addiction is going to be thinking straight.
I've no problem with you believing it was a good win. Delusion is an illness too. That's your problem though, not mine. And one you're going to likely require treatment for one day. Admitting you have a problem is the first step on the road to recovery. That piece of advice was free of charge. :good
Fuk *** addiction and drugs homie... a fight is a fight homie...! i dont know about you, but i hate getting hit in the face!:deal you hit me i hit you thats how it is,...dont sign the contract!! plain and simple!:hi:
Good win for Floyd. I rate it as one of his very best at 130 lbs, a division where I rank him # 1 all time (27-0 with 20 KO's.) The stoppage was a bit premature, but Manfredy was essentially pinned on the ropes and he wasn't throwing anything back when Floyd was throwing flurries at him. I don't think Angel was seriously hurt at the time of the stoppage, but he wasn't throwing anything back after Floyd put together about 15-17 punches. Anyway it was a great win and for those who didn't see Mayweather fight in the lower weights, they should definitely catch this fight and some of his other performances at 130-140 to see why people have him rated so highly. IMO he was starting to come off his absolute prime by the time he ventured up to 147 in 2006.
atsch The ignorance in you is boundless. Can you not read? People with severe drug habits often aren't thinking straight. It's a by-product of the disease.
I DONT CARE ABOUT MANFREDY'S PROBLEMS....DONT SIGN THE CONTRACT ITS THAT SIMPLE...Manfredy is a verygood win for Floyd!:good
Type 'S*x addiction ruined my life' into Google and read up on the debilitating effects it can have on the lives of those suffering from it. I'm done banging my head against a wall trying to educate those who refuse to listen and learn. :good
