    Is Mosely absolutely pwns Alvarez

    (I doubt he will)

Does this throw a massive wrench in the works for Mayweather?

As i see it his likely opponents before retirement after Cotto will be

    Martinez

    Alvarez / Khan

If Khan takes another ass whopping at the hands of Peterson it's unlikey he will be a marketable enough name

Alvarez is the only buttoned on option imo, he will likely be a big big name in the division over the coming years, a win over him now will likely get better & better over time

HOWEVER if he gets his azz whooped in devastating style as some people are predicting, it's unlikely that he will remain a viable opponent for floyd

it then restricts Mayweather possible future opponents to

    1. Pacquiao - 20% chance of this happening

    2. Martinez - slightly higher than Pacquiao but not by much, a fight Martinez would definitely take, and would sell hugely, more dangerous than a Pacquiao fight imo

    3. Khan - Khan has to stay viable as an oppoent, meaning he needs to get past Peterson, and then he will likely have to face Tim Bradley if he does, again, I don't think he wins this, so I'm not sure he gets his shot at Mayweather

    4. The wildcard - Tim Bradley, should Tim Bradley beat, or look good against Pacquiao and give him a tough fight (Marquez style), I'm fairly certain Floyd will instantly try to fight him - if Pacquiao blitzes him, this option is out the window

    5. Ortiz rematch - doesn't seem too likely, Floyd has only rematched 1 opponent in his career

So it seems Floyd is pretty thin on opponents post-prison, so will he campaign at 154 and take on Kirkland etc?

I hope not, Mosley vs Mayweather 2, even if at 154 is pointless.

I was really wondering why they would pit Canelo with Floyd.

If you ask me, Canelo should be gunning an all mexican showdown with Chavez at 160.

If Mosley owns Alvarez...it will show that Alvarez was unprepared for a top-notch boxer. Eric Morales respected Alvarez, but said his speed and power just could not hold with the top-notch fighters. I think there was a reason that Eric said this.

Alvarez may be good. But Alvarez needs more time. (and I think Shame Mosley can shor that Alvarez needs more time!)

    deal.

Yep, it would. I think Alvarez is pretty much a lock for a future Floyd opponent and it would limit who he could fight drastically. I also think Peterson threw a spanner in the works, Khan could have just jumped up and got the Mayweather fight had he won but now I feel he would need a big welterweight win ala Ortiz/Berto to get the shot.

I've said for a while that Mayweather won't fight Sergio due to the guys lack of fanbase, but he very may be cornered to do so if Alvarez loses. Bradleys with Top Rank aswell.

Maybe Berto or Guerro if he beats Ayudin and somebody else credible. Then if Brook beats Maidana and somebody else.

    Hopefully Lara gets a shot

December 2012: Mayweather Pacquiao, Pac will scrape past Bradley get cashed out.
May 2013 Mayweather: will go for a 3rd title at Light Middle against Canelo as close to May 5th as possible.
November 2013: Fight a small on form middleweight, decent record, paper title, bulid it up as a young lion.
May 2014: Fight Martinez, become the real 160 champion, retire P4P #1, 6 weight champion, quite high on the ATG scale.

You could have placed each year into a paragraph, thus making it easier to read.
