I really hope those kids, Diaz, Mayweather jr, Zamora go on to become something special. Boxing needs superstars to fill the void when Manny, Floyd and the Klitchkos retire.

 

good watch. the kid handled himself very well against a much older, taller sparring mate. you can see that his sparmate is not taking it easy on him specially on the end part. but the kid has heart coming in and fighting back.

 

I thought this thread is talking about pinoy prospect Mark Melligen who trains at mayweather gym.

The mayweathers may be a bunch of arrogant pricks but damn they are doing good jobs with these kids...I have already seen atleast 3 kids they have started to develop and big chance making it successful in this sport...

the mayweather style is one that would be better for most fighters who can adopt to that style, its the hit and not get hit game and they would have long careers because of that. Its also pleasing to watch. Most of you even if you hate(or perhaps just dislike mayweather) admits deep inside that his style is actually pretty entertaining and displays to the fans the sweet science of boxing. Sure he can produce ugly fights at times that doesn't appeal to the casual fans eye but if you watch boxing long enough see the things he does from a different perspective then you'll find his style very exciting and pleasing to watch
