He uses the Jab when the fight gets out of hand and needs to slow the pace back down. He used it against Mosley when Shane lost his damn mind in RD 2. Other then that its just check left hook, lead left hook, and leaping left hooks. Its perfect tho
I'm going to have to disagree ... I don't think he uses it to set anything up .. from what I see he shoots the left from the over head angle like a hook from the top and shoots the straight left with either upperbody movement while he is toe to toe .. or he drives it when he is the aggressor ... I think its based more on work rate .... so if we going by your theory I'm guessing ur going mayweathers right ... because his lead right becomes another jab by 5th, 6th, maybe 7th round and on and that's what he uses to set up his lead left hook because of the way he positions himself it kinda looks the same where he pivots his back foot and leans abit foward .. he uses his right as a counter upper cut or straight or of the"roll" ..and loves the staight right over the jab ... I think may does more with his right than pac does with his left but pac has more pop and that's where the debate comes into play
hahaha, i love that punch. Its so dangerous to throw though. I have started to use it, but for the most part i have to wait till my trainer is helpin someone else out cuz i get chewed for throwing it
This is dumb too. If they were the same size Manny would likely be trading some advantages like hand and footspeed, for others like reach and weight. A 5'9" Manny Pacquiao wouldn't be the same fighter. People don't just scale up like that.
Swaying from the question at hand a little bit...I say it doesnt matter ultimately if it comes down to the two forementioned fighters seeing theirselves in the ring together. With a 5 inch reach disadvantage, pac cant outjab...will be forced to pressure...will be countered...and the signature punches of either opponent will become irrelevant, as a fight is not fought with a single punch.... and the opportunities that present themselves will be taken advantage of... n thats all i'll say.
