    What are the worst things he has done to our beloved sport? Pick

    1. Self -explanatory
    2. Dragging the MP fight negotiations for 5 years to capitalize on the greatest ppv revenue in history of the sport, producing the greatest stinker in history of the sport.
    3. Canelo at 152. Now Canelo demands 155 for GGG and created his own weight class. Ward now wants to fight at 172 if he could. Cotto is now making his own weight class.
    4. Ward on the sidelines for 2 years. Gamboa switching promoters like gloves. Mikey Garcia still not fighting, etc
    5. My size of the ring, my ref, my judges, my drug testing - since when is the more popular boxer allowed to stack the deck so heavily in his favour?
    6. IV. Enough said.

    Oh, and to add: this is not a pro -Manny thread. Manny is just as guilty of catchweight BS as Floyd is.

    Peril don't be so bitter. He has done what needed to be done to an already corrupt sport. The only reason most people hate him is because he is control of himself and his career.

    Even Muhammad Ali had to sell his likeness and has no control over where his face is plastered because him and his estate do not own his name.

    Mayweather is only athlete in history to be completely in control of his destiny and you hate it. He made nearly a billion dollars in his lifetime and did it his own way. Sinatra style.

    I do not hate him for being successful. My issues with him are outlined above. As I mentioned earlier, I couldn't be happier when a fighters gets rich.

    2) Manny could've just agreed the first time around
    3) Canelo was ok with the fight at 152. If I recall, he proposed it. Can't blame Floyd for holding him to it. LOL...actually Cotto I am sure learned from Manny, who had him defending his title at 145 lbs. Canelo can demand 155, because, he is a much bigger star than GGG. GGG doesn't even need to fight Canelo to get the titles, though. Canelo would be stripped in due time (if he wins).

    4) Thing is Floyd has never sat out a contract like that. Even under Arum, he was active until he bought himself out of the contract after several years. And that's only because he wanted full control of his own career. Blame Oscar..since he did the same thing. Ward and these other guys were disgruntled with their promoters and basically refused to fight or stay in court (guess who else preferred to fight in court [emoji6]). Has nothing to do with Floyd.

    5) Didn't Oscar have all the choices against Floyd (ring size, location, glove size, purse split, ppv split, etc)? It's called being the A side. See Ray Leaonard for more examples. Kinda like Manny when he had Cotto at 145 (for a WW title), Margarito at 151 (for a LMW belt), and posioned Clottey's stew (giving him a case of the sh!ts) and targeted his body all night! YDKSAB!

    6) Give it up. This has no legs.

    Out of 49 fights, he had only 2 catchweight fights, so not sure why that is even an option.

    2. Manny isn't his own man, as everyone knows. His fate is in hands of Bob Arum and God, so really it was all up to Mayweather.

    3. Are you trying to justify catch weights? Canelo was a walking corpse at 154. Making 152 damn near killed him. Now he learned is lesson and is doing the same to others. Pac did it too, but once again, Pac is a marionette in the hands of his promoters. May is not.

    4. Floyd's ridiculous paychecks (32 mil guarantee) made the fighters think they can demand that same pay for FIGHTING SCRUBS. Delahoya fought The Absolute Best of the World, not the Berto's of this world.

    5. Yes I agree with you there, but they did it quietly, and mostly behind the scenes. Mayweather makes videos and public statements, telling people that they will do whatever he wants them to do, so he would grace the ring with his presence.

    6. Why would I give it up? Mayweather cheated, and has close connection to the very company that tests him for PED's.

    let me clarify that pac is a natural 140 lb fighter. he played more with catch weights at divisions above his natural weight class because the competition is weaker at the 140 lb division.

    Muhammad Ali never cheated, never used PED's, never ducked dangerous opponents, never had a state commission & drug testing agency watch his back so he never loses a decision
    That cheating scum is not worth of having his name in the same sentence as The Greatest Muhammad Ali
