Honestly I feel its more a change of style, tactics, and being more confident on the inside than before Me: I agree he has matured into his body and unlike his younger day when movement were a big part of game he can be more physical...however if he fights a person who will give him a bit more movent you will observe that his ability to move has greatly deteriorated...which makes sense he is 35 after all...I'm comparing him to his past performances...because to me he is the best around....shot legs or otherwise :happy
I don't see it...he was able to move away from a younger Ortiz. He chooses not to "box off the back foot" anymore. If he wants to he can box off his back foot with Cotto; then they will say he is boring because his shots won't have as much pop on em. So it's a no win situation-box off the front foot and they will say your legs are gone-box off the back foot and it's a boring fight. They aren't what they were when he fought Oscar, but they are what they were when he fought Marquez. Lost a bit, but still some of the best legs in the fight game. He can move as he pleases and he takes angles off of opponents better than any fighter.
I don't believe this. If a shot to hell Mosley can still move the way he does, and Sergio Martinez can move how he does, I don't see how Mayweather can't do the same thing. I don't buy into his "legs are shot" issue.
This pretty much sums it up. Plus he has really groen into his frame since returning when to fight Marquez till now. I have been saying since the Mosley fight, he will more than likely stop his remaining opponents (w/ exception of Martinez if they fight) becuase he has really been fighting on the inside as he is a full fledged welterweight now.
Man did u see that boy dancing on Omar?...when he hurt his hands, he started running and boxing on the backfoot just so he could show off that beautiful footwork...shooting that jab while running, it was a thing of beauty quit that lyin boy!!!
I been know FLyd is out of prime but his skillset in countering punch and power has improved though.Still PBF > Money
