Like I said, I thought talk of Mayweather's legs being gone was premature...9-3 was my prediction also though I think the judges were generous, I only gave Guerrero 2 rounds I thought Mayweather was excellent tonight, his movement was top class, many times against the ropes, Guerrero would throw, Maywetaher would avoid it, throw a right lead and move back into the centre before Guerrero even knew what was going on As many of us said, Guerrero didn't belong in that ring, it was a huge mismatch. He tried to be the counter puncher as well, and wait for Mayweather which was a stupid plan Fans were booing but what did they expect? This is a Mayweather fight, he spoke enough about how defense would be his focus and it was - Guerrero couldn't get near him. A very boring fight for those stupid enough to expect fireworks, but thought it was a top top performance from Mayweather against an opponent who really showed what a lot of us said, he simply didn't belong in that ring and his win against Berto was blatantly a false indicator - it says a lot about Berto's (and Ortiz') mediocrity also At 147, only BRadley and Pacquiao are worthy opponents - I think Mayweather beats both but we would get a much closer and stylistically more interesting fight... His next opponent will be really interesting...
Excellent post I agree. Best he's looked in a while his counter punching was back and his movement was to. He looked sharp. I would love to see Bradley or Pac but it won't happen Bob Arum won't allow it. Canelo is still a possibilty but 154 PBF has never shown the legs there and should probably stay clear for now. He rapes 147 and down.
The problem with people like you is that PBF can never do enough. Guerrero is world class but PBF at 147 makes you look like ****. No matter who he fights he will dominate. Instead of hating realize that defense and smarts win championships and no one currently in the sports from 154 and down will beat him. Accept that and move on and you'll sleep better at night.
When people hate on the man for fighting the nr3 in the welterweight division you truly know he's an ATG. Floyd belongs with the best as he is one of them. :deal
Once he timed Guerrero his movement was good. But Guerrero wasn't too good. He tried but there was a class difference.
