ok guys, so pressuming things go ahead as it seems, we may have pacquiao - mosley and cotto-martinez, my question is if these fights happen early-mid 2011, who does mayweather fight in may (presuming he does fight of course)?

Unless its Martinez at 160 or Pacquiao at 147, its just another easy win for him.

He'll probably take on the Khan-Maidana winner or the Bradley-Alexander winner. Most likely make them come up to 147 too. Alexander has a big following in the Lou and Khan is huge is the UK. I think it will most likely be Khan.

If it's anybody besides Pac, or Martinez I don't care who he fights. In my book he's just avoiding those 2 by fighting somebody else.

I can only think of him fighting Martinez

    But he's not interested :/

im serious, he should just retire and sort out his private life. His name is actually ruining boxing at this point, we should be concentrating on ACTIVE fighters

I know it won't be Martinez or Pacquiao...
So I throw Cotto's name into the mix as an alternative.
(Yes, I know this ain't 2007/2008 anymore... regardless)

If the other guys are busy and he actually wants to fight, then Berto. Berto's got Mayweather's favorite strap. He can take that easy, then let it collect dust.

A challenge would be great. I agree with Martinez or Pac, what/who else is there really?

No way Money goes up to 160 to fight Martinez that is just too much.

The only interesting fights at the moment are Martinez & Pac.

I'm not very interested in Berto to be honest

Unless one of the guys at 140 starts dominating but even then that would be like 18 months away by then Mayweather is really getting old!

If your scenario does happen, It's possible he'll entice the Khan/Maidana or Bradley/DA winners to move up to WW and fight him. Berto could also be in the mix.
