Mayweather's reasoning for beating GGG

At 154 Floyd wins. At 160 GGG wins

 

Golovkin beats him.

Power would overwhelm him and his defense would seem less effective.


He took a shot from Pacquiao which stunned him and Pacquiao tried to follow up but hit the gloves.

 

I do believe that Floyd can beat GGG because he has the skills.

But he never pushed himself to the limit in terms of fighting a prime fighter.

 

Wait wait wait.... Floyd is a cherry picker, you all say he only takes fights he knows he can win, so when he claims he knows he can beat someone (Golovkin), you STILL want him to take that fight?

 

GGGs skills are overrated.

Yes, I want him to take the fight next year for 50-0. vs lineal middleweight champ Golovkin (after GGG beats Cotto Canelo winner).

But since I believe Floyd is a bit of a cherry picker, I do not expect him to fight Golovkin.

 

I agree mostly. PBF fought prime guys early on and then started picking easy wins for big money low risk.

Hatton was prime but smaller.

Castillo was prime.

There is no excuse in not taking a fight in a weight class you are the lineal champ at. You don't claim to be "the best ever" and make a case about a few pounds. This forum :roll:.

With the recent back and forth between the two, it'd be a dream come true if they signed to fight. Both are available.

If they were the same size it be one of the most noncompetitive fights floyd ever had. ggg feet and hands are to slow, we not even going to get into ring IQ. ggg not even on the same planet as floyd.

 

GGG has said he will make 154. Floyd can take the fight, if GGG fails to make weight, he can call it off. It's not like he has to fight GGG if he comes in 158 lbs. These are all just lame excuses really. If you claim to be TBE, and if you publicly announce that you can beat GGG, there is a fight available. He should just stop with the BS unless he wants the fight.

 

Doesnt matter what he said. He never fought there period. Alos hasnt shown he can make the weight either. And floyd isnt going to bother at damn near 40 years old going through a training camp and this guy miss the weight to call the fight off.

Yes floyd claims to be tbe, so what? Floyd cant even make 54 his damn self. He is already at his limits as far as putting on weight, he only goes to 54 for big fights. He is averaging 2mil ppv buys at that weight. Can ggg get him to that number? **** no.

And what exactly is a fighter supposed to say? that another fighter can beat them?

ggg also claims that he'd beat anybody from 54-68 but is ignoring lara and ward.:think

 

We are going around the same thing over and over again. The simple fact is that, someone who claims to be "The Best Ever", should not be scared to take a challenge at a weight he's the lineal champ at. He fought a guy at 152, surely 2 pounds won't be a problem for someone who claims to be "better than Ali". Rest is BS, really.

 

Dawson said fighting Ward at 168 would be no problem. He made the weight but was the walking dead and Ward gets almost no credit for that fight. Golovkin says he can make the weight no problem. Then he should fight Lara at 154 to show he is viable at that weight. If he beats Lara at 154, he has every right to challenge Mayweather at that weight since he will have shown that he is viable at that weight.
