Just read that article that Floyd's comeback fight around June or July should be against JMM. Sounds like a great idea to me. What are your thoughts?

I think it would be a good fight, but not at welterweight.

JMM is a good enough fighter to give Mayweather a challenge, but I still think May's handspeed would be too much for JMM. Here's my list in no particular order:

    Juan Manuel Marquez

    Miguel Cotto

    Manny Pacquiao

    Shane Mosley

Hopefully Floyd would take the fight at light welter. He's too big for JMM but at that weight it wouldn't be a horrible mismatch. With all JMM and Pacs history it would make the perfect fight for Floyd before Pac. And JMM would finally get his mega paypday :)

I feel JMM is the best tune-up available for PBF. I would like to see him fight JMM first then Pac and Cotto.

as long as he's not only coming back for just one fight then i think he's right to have a tune up he's not faught since 2007 if was to lose to one of the 4 boxers mentioned without any tune up fight people would just blame the lay off. when he does decide to fight one of the top names it should be mosley

Useless fight. Ridiculous fight. Disgraceful, coward opponent choice. Seriously now, JMM spent most of his career at FW, unlike Pac and Floyd he's not an ever growing fighter. IMO Floyd should stay the f*ck out of the ring if a much smaller fighter is his best idea to greaten his 'legacy'. As brave as JMM, he would take it. Now imagine JMM fighting at WW, utter stupidity. Floyd should be ashamed of himself coming back for low risk high reward fights.

Shane is old. He's looking for an opponent. Let's see how Floyd handles that 'tune-up'. Oh wait, that's a high risk fight, even a decade after Mosley's absolute prime. Well, that tells you something about Mayweather's quality, doesn't it?

Mosley is also a strong fighter with fast hands and good power. He's not exactly the type of fighter you want to face if you haven't fought since 2007.:deal JMM is the much better choice for a tune-up.

I think Marquez has a good chance, especially if Floyd does not have at least one fight before fighting him.

PBF doesn't need a tune-up fight beforee fighting JMM. If he can't beat JMM without one he should give up boxing.

The whole point in fighting Marquez (at light welter) is that he's an unbelievable fighter. What balances it all out and makes it possible as a "tune up" fight is the size difference.

Mosely's no tune up. Hopefully he'll go there (or Cotto) after Pacquiao.

I think this is the best fight that can be made at 140. If JMM turns this down...
