I know that Ricky is considered to be one of the big earners in boxing these days and that Mayweather knows he could make shed loads of cash fighting him but lets be realistic. Mayweather rakes in the dollars no matter who is in the opposite corner. Could it be that Hatton is seen be Mayweather as a big money tune up fight before he Takes on Pacquiao?
    Has anyone considered this?
Is Hatton a good tune up for a Pacquiao fight?
Or dioes Floyd genuinely want to fight Hatton?

I'm a massive Hatton fan but I live in the real world. I know that Hatton has little to no chance of ever beating Mayweather. I do however, think that he would beat Pac man, as would Mayweather.

I think Mayweather is simply trying to eliminate the prospects of a Pac-Hatton match-up so that he can get Pac for himself.

Hatton wil lose to Mayweather, Juan Manuel Marquez, And Pac Man. Before he beat weak ass Paulie everyone said he didnt have anything, and he still doesnt. I remember when he said Cotto's name after his first fight in the U.S. and then he fought Urango, a beaten down Castillo, and then got to fight Mayweather. Ricky Hatton will lose any fight he takes to any man I've named, unless he's dreaming and you are too.

Mayweather should take on Pac as a tune up for Margarito/Cotto winner.

I don't know how a tune-up with PacMan will help for a fight against either of those two - but I would like to see any of those fights.

A lot of people picked paulie to wipe the floor with Hatton. Yeah, Hatton would lose to mayweather but I don't think it would be the same fight. Floyd Snr has worked wonders with Hatton. I think Hatton would beat JMM and I'm pretty sure he could beat manny but that would be a real tear up. Most will say I'm wrong here but I think he'd have a chance against Cotto. I just don't see Cotto being quick enough with his footwork to beat Hatton but then again Cotto will land and land very hard.
Urango is a solid fighter. I think we can expect good things from him in the very near future. Once he has disposed of Ngougjo, I think he'll be a force at LWW. Then we'll see if people can still talk down Ricky's win there.

Hatton would fair with Cotto in the ring just as Alfonso Gomez did. He doesnt belong in the ring with guys that want to hurt you and be violent. He belongs in the ring with guys like Mayweather, Paulie, and DLH that want to go 12 rounds . Pac Man is going to stop Ricky, and wont be pretty..... if your a Hatton fan other than that it'll be another notch in the belt for The Filipino P4P king.

if he had come out and said he wanted pac, he would have got pac ahead of hatton. he wouldn't need to be crafty to get the fight, just say he wanted it.

Mayweather is smart as hell. After PBf vs Hatton sold 1.4 million in PPVs in the UK, he saw the dollar signs flashing.

Mayweather has been out in retirement waiting for Hatton to build up his rep so PBF can go rematch him in the UK and make another shitload of cash.

Pac vs Hatton can put this in jeopardy.

Bingo! Roly, he doesn't have to come out and directly call out Pac. Let them fight eachother, hope it's not one sided so they are both softened up and fight the winner.

It's a win/win situation. Big money either way. Let them fight eachother because you know it could be competitive.

Disagreed. Floyd needs to make it appear as if he has another viable option out there.
