first of all i want to say that most of the users on here post so much support for a fighter, and when he loses they jump ship. Its pathetic. I was not rooting for either fighter, but more for a GOOD FIGHT. Personally I dont think a good fight was at hand.....it seemed more of a reffing match to me. Every chance hatton got it was broken up with the ref yelling at ricky, well News flash....IT WAS FLOYD HOLDING.
Unfortunatly this was one of the best fights i have ever seen, and i say that because at least the fighter was involved and was able to maintain pressure.
He seems like a coward for "retiring" to me (i dont care if that means anything to you "floyd fans") but the guy had cortez on his side the whole night...he may have knocked out hatton, but did he deserve the win? NO, just like every other win he gets.
The guy is a cancer on boxing for one reason...All the skill in the world, but he chooses to pot shot it off instead of showcase it. which doesnt make a great champ, it makes a boring champ. And at the state boxing is in with ufc (wwf with contact) making all these cards with the same no name fighters with 13-7 records, but still getting the ratings because they make FUN FIGHTS TO WATCH, the guy does nothing to further boxing. Hes a cancer that was in boxing at the right time, and picks fighters worse than roy jones at his bitter end.
say what you want floyd fans, i dont care....hes horrible for the sport.

(i dont have many posts.....darn, doesnt mean i cant tell it like it is)

You can tell it like you see it, but that doesn't mean that's the "way it is". His style is his style and it's obviously effective. Boxing is about more than brawling and PBF displays an extraordinary amount of skill in his fights.

Mayweather isn't boring. His opponents are, because they can't match his skill level. Don't hate on Floyd because he's head and shoulders above his opposition.
