That's just State tax though, which is typically not that high anyways. He still has to pay federal income tax.

I think the issue has to do with him having to pay a different tax bracket if he's here for a certain number of days because he switches from just coming to work and leave to actually living here.

If I remember correctly Roach wanted one of the camps to be somewhere in Canada, away from the Philippine distractions but not in the US due to tax concerns. I may be 100% wrong on this.

When you make as much as Manny does, it is a big difference. I was just replying to the poster that was talking about money you earn. I don't think income tax is the issue Roach was talking about.

 

As rich as you are, you still need to pay taxes. Now I don't know about Mayweather's case, but even if he's a millionaire, he's still have problem with taxes. I do believe most of you already know that news about Mayweather and Taxes.

Not exactly. If you make 379,150 per year and over, you pay 35% in taxes. You can make 300,000,000 and still pay 35%.

It was tax related - they talked about it on 24/7. He would exceed the day limit for not being considered a resident; which has a pretty big impact on taxes.
