What do you think they were? And they have to be against top fighters IN THEIR PRIME. So, no Cotto, no DLH, and no Mosley.
so we cant count the wins he got if the opponent wasent prime but if both fighters were past prime they arent fair game either?
In no particular order without putting any though in at all- Shane Mosley, Ricky Hatton, Juan Manuel Marquez, Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti, Miguel Cotto, Robert Guerrero, Carlos Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya, Genaro Hernandez.
after careful consideration all of Mayweathers wins are absolute **** with one exception Chico Corrales. Hatton isn't a 147 pounder and everyone else was past it or already beaten by someone else. Man Mayweather is overrated.
What boxer ever has beaten 10 TOP fighters in their prime? You'd be struggling to place Ray Robinson in that category.
1.) Diego Corrales-Unbeaten, ranked in many p4p lists, favored by many to win. Almost a lock for the IBHOF down the road. RIP 2.) Genaro Hernandez-Once beaten long time champion, and possible dark horse IBHOF inductee. RIP 3.) Ricky Hatton-Unbeaten, pound for pound rated champion and he's almost a certain lock for the IBHOF once eligble. 4.) Shane Mosley-Mosley was coming off his best performance since beating Oscar the first time. Mosley was an atg lightweight with solid wins at 147 and 154 and a physical talent seemingly on par with Floyd going in. 5.) Angel Manfredy-Although Manfredy wasn't a champ, he was a hot commodity after destroying Gatti. The fashion Floyd destroyed him in cemented his standing at 135 after the corronation vs. Hernandez 6.) Juan Manuel Marquez-This win over future IBHOF first ballot lock is diminished by the weight situation. Nevertheless Mayweather dominated every second of combat against one of the top three or four Mexican fighters of all time. 7.) Arturo Gatti-IBHOF inductee. Though this showed Floyd's skills at their terrifying peak, this win suffers in my view because Thunder looked like he was on the brink of a mental meltdown before the opening bell. Maybe it was nerves or maybe it was weight making, but he looked ready to implode and it clearly affected his performance. 8.) Jesus Chavez-Chavez was a two weight champ. Although he slid off to gatekeeper land later in his career, at this stage he was still highly respected. 9.) Zab Judah-Floyd displayed impressive poise and versatility while adapting to Judah's speed and power. 10.) Miguel Cotto-This win against an outstanding fighter and a much bigger stronger man underscored that Floyd could win on an off night. Also, an honorable mention shout to the win over Jstin Juuko. Although Juuko was fairly ordinary, its a fun fight to watch becaue Floyd came out from behind his shoulder roll to move and flurry in what was an impressve Sugar Ray Leonard impersonation.
So if Floyd doesn't face these guys when they aren't absolutely prime it doesn't count. Ignore the fact that age differences, weight differences, or managerial differences would prevent these guys from ever fighting prime vs prime. Because according to you there was a point where Floyd and all his opponents were both prime, the same size, and ready to fight each other. Idiot. EDIT: TFM7's list is pretty spot on. I would put Oscar on there somewhere though.
