Whenever this fight gets brought up its always used as a way of dscrediting floyd and often people on here imply mayweather only won because "zab gassed". Now Zab has never had the best stamina that's true but to say that's the only reason floyd won is pure ignorance and to say this fight is a blueprint on how to beat floyd is pure garbage.
This fight was the first fight where floyd didnt have his natural advantages of speed and athleticism over an opponent so of course it took him a while to feel zab out but you can see even from as early as the third round he'd begun to figure zab out he shortened up his punches went downstairs to the body and he stopped zabs jab every time which meant zab couldnt get a rhythm.
This fight was also a display of his great versatility and this along with his great ring IQ is one of the reasons I don't see the fight with pac being that competitive. I'm not saying he'll fight him how he fought zab but if I were him I'd definitely smother mannys work and try and suffocate him a little.

No way overrated. Floyd won a comfortable decision. The first half of the fight was even based off equal speed and athleticism and Zabs unorthodox style. Floyd was very patient and waited him out like he does in most his fights. Good win for Floyd but that doesn't take away that the no1 p4p had trouble with a guy known for gassing and having stability issues. Floyd is well known for giving away early rounds, letting opponents tire and playing off their weaknesses.

Floyd was very offensive in this fight because he knew Zab crumbles to pressure. If Floyd fights the same way with Pacquiao he will get KO'd.

Mayweather won this fight comfortably. Even in the early rounds he lost, he was still in control and pressuring Judah.

You say Judah has gassing and stability issues, well unless Judah came into the fight gassed, then Floyd losing the first 2 rounds can't be condemned. He beat Judah from ring post to ring post from rounds 3-12.

Boxing comparisons are never good, case in point, but look at Cotto vs. Judah, and Cotto vs. Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao is a vicious animal. A relentless monster. He ate Judah's daddy as a late night snack. Pure will. You're right, talking about Judah, Pacquiao, and Mayweather in any sort of way is patently stupid.

Judah KING of the 6 rounders maybe 4 rounders. Even in those early rounds Floyd looked good, the point is Judah caused some early problems like he usually will against anyone. Check the Baldo, Clottey, and Cotto fights, Zoo just took him out early, Spinks outboxed him. Good win, but was Floyd much more impressive than the other Judah conquerors?

No need to compare, the simple answer is Zab caused some early problems. He can cause most fighters early problems.

I wouldn't say Judah gasses, I think he jusr runs out of ideas when matched against and opponent who can adapt. He also has no stomach for a fight and crumbles under pressure which is what happened against Mayweather and Cotto in fact. Two fights where he started very well and self destructed when the heat was turned up a little.

    Agreed,

So many people are focused on the so called KD that was really nothing.. Cotto had more problem Zab the Floyd did..
The Zab fight show floyd knows how to handle fighters faster then himself, this dimension of his game is so over looked. Floyd has fought so many fights where he does not have physical advantage and each he has figured out a way to win, using only his boxing skills.

Your assuming Floyd's chin is as weak as Hatton's which it is not, hatton has been dropped by C level competition so Hatton has never had the best chin.

I couldn't agree more. Zab will end up being a tougher fight for PBF than Pac will because of styles.
Zab is more of a natural counter-puncher than Pac is.
Zab has longer arms than Pac does.
Zab has a better jab than Pac does.
Zab picks his shots better than Pac does.
Zab has faster one shot handspeed than Pac does.
Zab has better one shot power than pac does.

    Yeah-

-first off Mayweatehr was on his way to Ko'ing zab IMO when the low blow and melee happened.

-secondly PBF dominated most of the fight

-thirdly Zab has been tough on lots of guys early--he was rocking cotto badly early on for instance and that was a pre-margorito cotto and a fresh hungry cotto as well. zab had as much offensive talent as anyone--lightening speed i both hands, power , incredible feet and reflexes (ever see that move he did against cory spinks in there second fight--pure talent)

Pac-PBF is a great fight, I think they both present thigs that should worry the other and which the other has never seen the likes of before---that's what makes it so exciting--I don't think we can draw too much on past matchups by way of comparison

it was the awkwardness and the ability of judah that made floyd look bad not the other way round. zab gasses in most of his big fights. and it isnt becuase he has bad stamina it's becuase he cant control his stamina. he is stuck in the amatuers.

morales walked pac down pretty effectivly.i doubt people think floyds going to do the exact same
