NSAC has gone on video record saying that testing policy can be contractually negotiated. Their policy is the default policy which will be followed if nothing is negotiated between the fighters.
Floyds not scared and actually think his persona is all a front. The guy, where he grew up, how he was brought up is the furthest thing from being a surly thug. Its a great marketing ploy to play the villain. If that means raking in another 300k extra PPV buys, who cares if the public thinks hes an ass.
Both camps have been a little guilty of cherry picking their opponents, but Mayweather's just been doing it longer. The Diaz bout was probably the most *cherrypicked opponent Pac had considering he was the weakest of all the beltholders at lightweight. The most notable difference between the two? Pac was the one moving up to lightweight, junior lightweight, welterweight, and the catchweight with Cotto in order to fight him. Mayweather brought Hatton up to welterweight, then brought a bloated Marquez up to their catchweight, which is why I give Pacquiao's recent bouts more merit, especially having fought Cotto.
I agree...it's 90% of the PPV for him are people wanting him to get KTFO..and that comes from his front there are interviews of him when he isn't being an arrogant azz people don't wanna see good guy fights good guy, they want a hero and a villian
Just picture an alternate scenario, where Floyd wasn't perceived to be who he is today as the villain. Wouldn't endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade, etc. seem so much more lucrative then selling an extra thousand PPV's or so by being such a *****? You can only fight a De La Hoya every now and then, and that was definitely an anomaly. I don't think Mayweather's team originally set out to cast him in the villain role, but I do think he fed off of it and eventually convinced himself that that was the best role to play.
Regardless, given that Mayweather - a proven boxing cheat - has made a demand not made of any prior opponent, and off of the back of speculation made by his own father as soon as this fight looked possible, well...it's all very convenient and almost certainly engineered to avoid the contest.
again you are continuously ignorant. before, you said that floyd saying "philippines has the best performance drugs" was mentioned as a joke by floyd. and now this? diaz - could be for the 135 title but we have no idea then how the weight would affect pac. oscar - oscar was the one who cherry-picked a lightweight pacquiao. get your facts straight sweetheart. hatton - a fight demanded by most boxing fans since pac looked sensational vs oscar and hatton looked awesome in his destruction of malignaggi. cotto - the biggest fight of 2009. cotto is coming as an underdog but still is the 2nd best welterweight at the time. and if you think cotto is a cherry pick, what can you say about floyd and ellerbe avoiding cotto back then in 2007? now let's see floyd's last opponent? :yep
Baseless claims? If the cops showed up at my door and accused me of robbing a bank this morning at 3am, I would give them my alibi, submit fingerprints, dna, and whatever else they needed to rule me out. I wouldn't slam the door in their face and say, "you have no proof!" The fact remains that Manny looks MORE guilty not taking the tests, than he would taking and passing the tests. Agreed.
Its fake, even with the Brian Kenny interviews...Its starts out as friendly and all of a sudden Brian says something offensive and Floyd becomes belligerent But he makes such a good heel, he does add millions to the PPV. Its all business for Floyd and people sometimes dont understand that. He does this because he feels that hes paid his dues and he has.
it isn't just weights, it who he fought and when Hatton/ODLH/Cotto...all fighters without solid right hands (because they are left handed). Hatton was not the same after Floyd beat him (1st) ODLH was (yes you've heard it a zillion times, and I don't blame pac sine oscar stupidly offered to come down)weight drained, lost ot floyd at 154 Cotto catchweight, ruined by margo...questionable win over clottey (and should have never been forced to put the belt on the line) He has been super protected on his move up, for better or worse.
Floyd Donald Duck Mayweather is a ball less wonder. He refuses to fight unless he has every advantage. Let him go back to dancing on WWE Boxing sure doesnt need the punk
