Was Roach not quoted as saying that Mayweather wanted to fight at 154? That Mayweather did not want the 8oz. gloves and instead wanted the "pillows" so to speak as they call them in boxing.

I'm a Pacquiao fan, but of course I'd want him to do whatever it took to clear his name. I don't think you understood what I said when I tried to differentiate "random" and "cut-off". Yes, it's been said they initially wanted a test at the kick-off presser, one 30 days prior, and one post fight. Course that's not random.

If that article that was linked above did indeed have Team Pac agree to random testing, what I was saying was, go ahead and have random testing, but have the testing "cut-off" a week prior. 7 days prior to the bout, just not the day of the fight 3x. or 5x before the weigh in. If I remember correctly, that's how USADA works for olympic-style testing. 8 urine analysis exams and 5 blood tests. All random with a final testing date.

Reading over the different articles written by some experts, it's been stated that HGH and SGH (I think that's what it's called) can prove ineffective if not taking consistently for MONTHS. There's this talk about how Pac gained all this weight suddenly. I really don't know what the haters are talking about. He's been walking around 140-145 the past 3+ years.

What has Pac given into? He has picked everything he has wanted..Glove size..Floyd wanted 10 and Pac wanted 8..they got 8...Pac got whatever date he wanted..Floyd said he'll fight him in march or may it don't matter...the weight was a done deal...the sight was ok cuz both fighters wanted it more....THE 10 MILLION DOLLAR PENALTY WAS RIDICULOUS BUT FLOYD AGREED TO IT CUZ HE KNEW HE COULD PASS IT....ALL PAC GOTTA DO IS AGREE TO SIT IN A CHAIR AND GET SOME BLOOD DRAWN A COUPLE TIMES...HE WON'T KNOW WHEN HE GETTIN EM...FLOYD HAS MORE THAN BEEN UNDERSTANDING IN THE WHOLE DAMN NEGOTIATION UP TO NOW...

I for one do not blame steroids for his weight gain or size. His unofficial fight night weight has been fairly consistent. If anything I suspect Manny of blood doping and other PED usage described by Victor Conte of Balco. The same type of doping that Shane Mosley used that DID NOT EVER show up in a NSAC urine test.

Pacquiao's last loss, which occurred in 2005 against Erik "El Terrible" Morales (first fight of the trilogy), caused controversy as a lack of contractual diligence led to the signing of the fight contract that stipulated the use of 10 oz gloves. Team Pacquiao would later argue that the results of the first Morales fight would have been different had then-manager Murad Muhammad negotiated for Pacquiao to wear his normal 8 oz ("puncher's") gloves.

Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweathers adviser, declined to comment whether the demand was based on suspicions, initially voiced by Floyd Mayweather Sr., and subsequently by others close to Mayweather, that Pacquiao uses performance-enhancing drugs.

Im not going to get into that, Ellerbe said. But people can read between the lines. Al and I made sure this will be implemented. It is going to be done.

Ellerbe stressed that the decision was made solely by himself and fellow Mayweather adviser Al Hayman, without their fighters input.

Its not a one-way thing, its both fighters who are subject to testing, Ellerbe said. And this is not Floyd saying this. This is me and Al. This is one of the biggest fights in the history of the sport and the fans deserve it to be fair.

Floyds got nothing to do with this. Its our job to protect him and give him the best chance to be successful. Inside the ring, hes got that. Hell have no problem with Pacquiao, none whatsoever. Our job is to take care of things outside the ring.
