    really?
you must have missed the quote whenever there happens to be a belt holder thats dangerous and he opts to fight a guy like junior welter hatton and featherweight JMM instead of antonio margarito or miquel cotto whohad lineage WBA welterweight titles and said they bring nothing to the table....
"floyd mayweather fights for money not belts"

biggest hypocrite in the last 10 years as well as his fans for using the best excuse per reason for not fighting the best

Mayweather came into the division, and fought Mitchell a fight which emmanuel steward said was supposed to be a tough fight for him..

He then signed to fight the current champion Judah. Judah lost, so then Mayweather went a beat the guy that beat him and became the lineal champ. Then last yeat he just beat the guy who was ranked #1 WW who everybody was screaming was going to kill him. There were no SRL, or Hearns type of talents in the division for him to fight. Oscar DLH at 154 was a stronger, and better opponent than anyone in the WW division.:deal

You must have missed the quote where Arum said that Mayweather was willing to fight Marg, but wanted more money for Hatton and Cotto and also wanted the DLH fight. Arum told Mayweather he was dreaming about DLH.

Seeing as Mayweather went on to make big money fights with Hatton and DLH without Arum, its clear that Arum was wrong, and that he underestimated Floyd's value and drawing power and should have gave him what he asked for.

I didn't blame him for the fights he's taken at 147, just stating that his opponents have been irrefutably terrible and his Pac-hating fans have been hypocritical. It seems you agree with me, though. Mosley was not ranked #1 last year by the way. Manny Pacquiao was. In all seriousness, Mosley didn't deserve to be ranked at all. He was off for 17 months before that fight.

Nah, the only reason Marg and Cotto even got overrated as much as they did is becasue of theis myth that May ducked them.

If May had fought them people would have just "so what he beat a disgraced cheater who got KOed by Mosley and his face broke by Pacquiao." Marg's is a low level fighter and will not be remembered kindly by boxing history.

There were no high level, HOF, ATG opponents except for Mosley. And now Pacquiao.

A career tainted by cheating. I'm just saying that there was nothing about him that made him just this exceptional opponent that everybody wanted to see.

I'll be honest I was always a fan of Margo because of his great chin and unequaled stamina. But yea his career has been tainted although it was a good one. I think Margo is a little underrated because of his style. Pressure fighters who can walk through punches like that are hard to beat. Also his loss to Daniel Santos was bull****. He was on his way to winning that fight imo when they stopped it due to a cut that wasnt even that bad, and gave Santos a debatable technical decision.

He did well to face Judah at that time and after a Sharbma Mitchell warm-up, it was a risky fight and he was very cold blooded there, despite the low blows, the Roger thang in round 10 and the riot. He dominated and beat the best ww available at that time in Baldo... Then, he could have gone other ways but he was starving for that Hoya fight and he proved his courage. I specially didn't like the Hatton option when Shane was available and I definitely hated the JMM option after the layoff (WWE and more nonsense). I guess he made it up with a dominating performance against Shane... He should have fought Margo or Cotto but since he's to fight Pacquiao, I guess it will make sense and that would be it!

Now, who he didn't fight (or won't fight) in that span, at or around welter:

    Manny Pacquiao
    Antonio Margarito
    Vernon Forrest
    Paul Williams
    Miguel Cotto
    Carlos Quintana
    Kermit Cintron
    Kostya Tszyu
    Andre Berto

Looking at this list and Mayweather's list, no doubt in my mind he took the easiest path imaginable as he rose in weight to maintain that undefeated record. Disgraceful.
