Shortly after, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the fight will be contested at the catch weight of 152 pounds with the two men fighting for Mayweather's junior middleweight and welterweight titles plus Alvarez's WBC light middleweight and WBA Super World Light Middleweight title.

How they can fight for Mayweather’s Welterweight Title is a mystery since neither boxer will be weighing-in at the required 140-147 pound weight limit.

Mayweather's outdoing Pacquiao in every department. He's showing him how a real catchweight king does it.

I think belts really don't mean **** anymore and we the fans might as well get use to the politics of it all. Alvarez doesn't have to defend it. Its just another way for the sanctioning bodies to make money off the fight.

Mayweathers WW belt will not be on the line. Its above the WW limit. The Las Vegas Review is wrong. Canelo's belts and Mayweathers super WW belt will be on the line. A total of "4" belts, 3 fake and 1 real.

Fighting for a WW title is a heck of a lot dumber then fighting for a SWW title at 152seeing as it is between 147 - 154. I don't really get the point of this, this can't be true

You would think that people that post on a boxing forum would be at least familiar with the basic rules of the sport.

150 is between 148 to 154 so it's legit. 152 is between 148 to 154 so it's for the 154 belt and the 147 belt can't be on the line.

This is misinformation surely by bad journalists - if the fight is above the WW limit the WW belt cannot be on the line...
