I was thinking the same, he's known for the extreme training and being always in shape. Actually, pretty much all of the world class fighters train extremely hard. Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe (until he became the champ), also I'm sure Marciano was training extremely hard.
Saw this old thread too, which had some good stuff in it http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=254214&page=2
I agree this is what sets Floyd apart, his life is a training camp at half speed then when it's time for a fight he just goes to full speed. He could probably make a fight in perfect condition in less than a month notice. He is just simply a gym addict. :bbb
uhhh no lol. I remember an article about the days leading to and after the fight with Toney. Journalist was coming out of his hotel the day after the fight and saw Jones coming back inside in a jump suit (or something). He thought Jones was coming back after a party. Jones told him he just finished his road work.... but ya dude was lazy...atsch
In the last week I have heard that Floyd's work ethnic is unrivaled, that Marquez's work ethic is unrivaled, that Roy Jones' work ethic was unrivaled, and that Bernard Hopkins' work ethic is unrivaled. Which is it?
A lot of fighters have equal work ethic as Mayweather Bradley is a known gym rat Pacquiao works his ass off etc.
Tzsyu Norton Vargas among more recent fightesr Bradley as well I'm talking about on and off the clock Tzyu according to a boxing training book had one of the most brutal workouts imageinable...will post if I have time.
Jones "told him" he just finished his roadwork. RJJ was lazy as fu.ck compared to Mayweather and other greats.
