MBS: Hiroto Kyōguchi vs. Tetsuya Hisada RBR

I miss having one like that.

(hell, as of today I miss having a job.. was laid off literally yesterday)

 

Round 6

Kyōguchi banging that jab up into Hisada's guard, lulling him into a rhythm moving straight backward, then sweeping big hooks to knock Hisada for a loop. Kyōguchi now dusting off the big right over the top. Hisada beginning to wilt under the power of Kyōguchi. A big tear drop right causes his knees to buckle and he is now staggered across the ring, but recovers before Kyōguchi is able to rush in for the kill. Hisada now holding a bit. Hisada working uppercuts on the inside, fighting desperately to survive. Kyōguchi with huge scooping left hooks on the body diving in low. Hisada with counter flurries. Uppercut by Kyōguchi.

If he lasts another half of the championship distance at this point Hisada is officially the hardest SOB under the Rising Sun.

 

Round 7

Hisada meets Kyōguchi at the center of the ring, both slinging hard straight rights! Hisada smashes Kyōguchi with a big uppercut!! Explosive action for the first minute until both start tiring, and then Kyōguchi switches tacks, leaning to his left and ripping hooks into the body to further sap Hisada's strength. Messy underhanded body combos by Hisada, all of his work growing less organized. Kyōguchi, however, also needing a breather, ducking and weaving on the outside now as Hisada sprays jabs and selfie-stick rights at him from afar. Kyōguchi circles and loads up a musket-shot 1-2.

If there were more gas in his tank and he was able to crop & paste that first half-minute 5x more, Hisada could have won the 7th. Alas, young man's game. Let's see if that was his last gasp..

 

Round 8

Kyōguchi works jabs and short overhand rights, one combination following immediately on the heels of its predecessor. Hisada is gingerly stepping backward, minding his foot placement, always carefully in position to block & counter - and BAM, he nails Kyōguchi with a hard right coming in. Kyōguchi blinks it off and resumes his game of cat & mouse. Hard double jabs by Kyōguchi penetrating Hisada's guard. Kyōguchi leaps up from a crouch with a hook battering Hisada's right temple, and Hisada simultaneously cuts loose with a counter right down the pipe and both shots land with less impact than might've been if left unmolested.

10-9 Kyōguchi, but again, Hisada competitive throughout and enjoying micro-periods of real success

Round 9

Kyōguchi jabs while circling left. Kyōguchi seeming to be taking a bit of time off in there. Hisada gets brave, swarming him with big croquet-stick body shots. Kyōguchi playing a bit of possum, ducking in against Hisada with a soft hook & uppercut, and then KA-POW! Giant downward-sweeping right hand floors Hisada. Kyōguchi ready to finish this now. Hisada not ready to let him! Big right hands and left hooks in succession by Kyōguchi. Hisada blocks as much as he can and weathers the rest, waiting for gaps in Kyōguchi's punching to dive in and shoeshine or uppercut the body. Hisada survives the round!
