MBS: Hiroto Kyōguchi vs. Tetsuya Hisada RBR

Round 10

Kyōguchi now bodies up against Hisada, thudding both fists into his barn doors. Hisada is standing his ground, twisting above the waist to load up on his own hooks from the lower ribs to just under Kyōguchi's armpits. Both able to deliver 3-4 powerful body shots before collapsing into a restful embrace. Kyōguchi pushes Hisada off and lands an ENORMOUS lead right & left hook combo, wtf is Hisada's chin made of? Kyōguchi wings a few loose haymakers, smothered at close range, the bottoms of his forearms brushing against the nape of Hisada's neck as the challenger leans into him trying to hold.

For a near-shutout this is really fun...

At this point the dramatic core of this conflict is, for me, being torn between the Hisada stan in me wanting to see him reach the final bell and the Kyōguchi stan in me wanting to see him get a savage KO.

 

Round 11

Kyōguchi pumps in straight combos at the face on the way in (clipped by a MASSIVE chopping hook across the jaw from Hisada, but just walks through it) and then flapping at the hips when they close ranks. Both throwing very weak body shots while pressed together. Kyōguchi winning the day on the inside with just more in his engine, his flurries lasting a bit longer and leveraging Hisada off to just far enough out for Kyōguchi to uncork stiffer (but still not even close to full power) hooks on his chin, rocking him.

Round 12

Kyōguchi with a running crouch down the airstrip, taking off into a flying right hand, blocked. Hisada pulling down on the back of Kyōguchi's neck in the clinch, stalling. Big sloppy overhands traded from both at mid-range after the ref separates them. WHOA! Kyōguchi might've been hurt by a short punch on the inside, and is running. Hisada chasing, hurling both hands at him. Not sure if this is another ploy from Kyōguchi like when he acted weak earlier before scoring the knockdown. Maybe he's just exhausted and feeling the pace. A bit over thirty seconds left. Hisada keeps hooking into either side of Kyōguchi's head while being gored into the ropes.
