here is an interview with mc call. its from a year ago, but still relevent today. especially if he has trained continuously for that past year...and the vid below it is a fight mc call had a few months ago.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At7RZkRZodc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry47zyrYGt8 .
He is still very serious about his world title ambitions. Here is the interview I conducted with him a few weeks ago. He mentions how serious he is about his goals for the title: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=19750&more=1
quote from the mccall interview. larry was an old man. mccall was still young. both fights were a long time ago in boxing...... he has no game plan for hoppa. i hope hoppa has one for him. and i'll bet his team does. mccall hasnt much respect for hoppa, and is expecting an early night. mccall thinks his whiskers will protect him from a ko. but the quickest way to ko an old man is via the ribs......hoppas team knows that. .
Oh yeah....get in fast and attack the body...dont look at the head until round 4 or until McCall lowers the hands
McCall knows that as well. You act like he is an old man that is trying the gloves on for the first time. He may be an old dog, and you might not be able to teach him new tricks, but he knows all of the old ones. His experience will win the day.
Not true Charles....most here are saying McCall has the skills, size and experience to beat hoppa...but yes he is getting on a bit.
yeah ..i expect mccall to win. im saying if hoppa plays his cards right, there is away to win for him. mccall is vulnerable. hoppa has proven he makes bad decisions in preasure situations, which is something that will see him get beat. he needs a plan, focus, determination and a bit of luck to beat mccall. he can do it. its a big ask. .
What part isn't true? That McCall will win? Time will tell. I would easily place a sizeable amount of money on it and feel confident in doing so.
Not true was for......."you act like hes an old man putting the gloves on for the first time" Good luck to both fighters....but go hoppa :bbb
Oliver's going off at -240 now, according to Sportsbook. At those odds, I might put a little wager on it myself.
