yeh Pittodrie would look empty. He would never fill it out its quite alot of seats you would get there, i think alot of current british boxers would struggle to make Pittodrie look full.

Aberdeen football club dosent manage it

the AECC would be perfect IMO

WOULD LOVE TO HAVE BEEN THERE TONIGHT, BUT OFFSHORE, GUTTED!

AGREE THAT THE AECC WOULD PROBABLY BE THE BEST VENUE AT THE MOMENT, BUT CAN IMAGINE THAT FOLLOWING THIS FIGHT THERE MIGHT START TO BE A BIT MORE INTEREST, THEN IF WE COULD GET THE TOP SCOTTISH FIGHTERS ALL ON THE SAME BILL ie, ARTHUR, LIMMOND, BURNS, APPLEBY,etc etc (WISHFULL THINKING!) THEN PITTODRIE COULD BE AN OPTION A BIT FURTHER DOWN THE LINE (AGAIN WISHFULL THINKING). JUST THINK THAT THERE COULD BE SOME EXCITING NIGHTS AHEAD.

    unlucky mate.

    i just got back

McAllister was great he boxed very well for the first few rounds and KOd the guy in the 3rd a great result. I saw it being filmed so you could probably pick up a DVD from Panda Rosa.

I was abit disappointed there was only 3 fights i was expecting more. And it was badly organised i was asked to move seats 3 times and each time i had been told to sit in the seat i was sitting it i got a bit pissed off. The only incident of the night happened in front of me where a bottle fell from the balcony and hit a persons chair. the person shouted up bt with no reply. But the ring announcer sorted it out and it turned out it was an accident but i doubt it.

Heres my take on the fights.

McAllister boxed a great fight from the first round he stood at a distance and boxed him with a great jab and brilliant movement. He stayed just out of range and slipped incoming punches or moved back and fired his own. He made Sowah miss alot but middway through the round Sowah landed a great right hand when McAllister was on the ropes. There was alot of clinching in the first round especially when McAllister got on the ropes.

The second was more of the same from Lee i think Sowah landed afew good jabs at the start of the round but McAllister came back and hurt him with a right hand in the middle of the round. Sowah looked more off balance than anything else and fell back onto the ropes where Lee let go with a combo that was really sharp. The crowd bayed for the Ghananians blood as he was against the ropes but Lee boxed smart and took his time picked his shots and didnt go all out. Sowah managed to survive till the end of the round but he looked like he had run out of ideas as he was circling round Lee with his left arm extended looking for Lee to come in and counter Lee with a right.

The third was the same Sowah came out with his left arm extended and looked badly out of ideas. He started throwing abit more but Lee just stepped back and made him miss, i was really impressed with Lees reflexes in defence they was sharp. Middway through the round Sowah with his back to the ropes came off the ropes with a 2 fisted combo but Lee calmly transferred his body weight onto his back foot and landed one of the best rights straight down the pipe i have ever seen. Sowah collapsed to the canvas. He didnt move the referee counted he got to '8' Sowah suddenly jumped up to his feet and didnt look hurt at all but the referee waved of the fight.

A great result for Lee, after the fight he mentioned his next fight will be at the AECC against Gary McArthur.

On the undercard was the super bantam weight Josh Wales. He fought a tough Bulgarian opponent Borov. I cant remember his first name.

At the start of the first Josh came out his corner and advanced towards Borov but took a hard jab from Borov and i thought this will be a good fight. Soon Wlaes started to take over with good boxing with a high worlrate and good body shots. Pretty soone he woppled Borov who held on with shaky legs till the end of the round.

In the second Wales came out to finish his job and started landing fairly early. At one point he threw a double jab which Borov countered with a buetifal right but he didnt follow up. Josh soon hurt Borov again who amazingly survuved till the end of the round.

The third was a good round. Borov came out and countered a Wales jab with his right but didnt follow up and fought defensivly the rest of the round where Josh was slowly breaking him down.

The 4th was one sided with Josh picking up the pace and forcing Richie Davies to stop it.

Wales looked good he threw good combos had a decent jab and workrate and worked the body well but did slap to the body afew times. Josh can grow into a decent fighter, one to look out for. james Ancliff was supposed to be his opponent but he pulled out so an Ancliff vs Wales fight would be a very very good fight to happen soon.

    The opening fight looked great.

    Joe C something vs Deano.

I cant remeber there names. I feel pretty bad. Please correct me

Joe the scottish fighter came out and landed a good shot but soone Deano landed crisp combos but Joe was always fighting back it was a great tactical and stylistic fight. I gave it to Deano though

In the second they got into the first clinch of the fight where unfortunatly Joe was cut badly and Davies called it off, it was a bad cut but it was looking to be a good fight.

I reckon were gonna see a few fighters keeping a wide berth from Lee now, following that performance. But hopefully in for some quality fights now.
    cheers for the report mate.

lee Mc's next fight looks set to be with rival Gary Mcarthur, who holds a points win over him in the amatures.
